Would love to hear about your gardening leave experience, especially in the event production sector, i.e. Gartner, Forrester, etc. I’m planning my resignation and I’m unsure if I should plan my next endeavor around it. I plan to continue my career in event production but as an in-house producer for a solution provider, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Man this nonstop ghosting is like cancer. It keeps spreading and it’s destroying proper business practice.
Agreed. I once had a recruiter reach out to me, schedule a call, and confirm the day before we're still on to chat. Then the day of the call he doesn't show up to the call and doesn't respond to email or LinkedIn messages.
How long did you take to respond? When I respond within the hour I usually get many interviews this way.
Recently got a message from a recruiter and responded the morning after because I did not see the message at the end of the day. Crickets.
Gotta keep in mind you are not the only candidate and that these slots probably fill up fast.
One immediately, one after work, and the last emailed me at 8pm on Friday, which is date night and the no device rule is serious. (Points at her employer.)
If it takes me having my personal phone open all day, I’m going to miss some. Oh well. Just very revealing about the company values being very similar to what I’m trying to leave.
Just curious how they reached out to you? I guess the recruiters were looking for someone and came across your profile? And did they reach out to you on LinkedIn?
Two I applied to roles, the one found me through Linkedin.
Recruiters are going to spam out messages and emails to any somewhat qualified candidate. As soon as they have a better candidate most of them are focusing their energy on them without consulting every person they previously had calls with. Remember they are comission based so it makes sense for them to get on with their work. This isnt all recruiters but explains why the majority ghost. Alternatively they could have sent your CV through and it didnt pass the next stage. Apply for jobs at the same time either way and when you have a confirmed interview that becomes your focus.
I think its poor practise on their part but thats my guess on the ghosting
