It really depends on the firm and practice area. I billed less than 1500 one year and got stellar reviews and was lauded for my dedication to the practice. Big lol. I still left for in-house the next year.

1500 is coasting. 1700 is trying (you’d still have to consistently bill 36/week for 48 weeks (2 week vacation+ holidays off). I’ve seen people bill 1700-1800 at biglaw and being ok if they do good work and are well liked. No matter how many hours you bill, the firm will always want more. Do you!
1700 in litigation at any firm with some work is super easy, especially if you are making appearances.

In my mind certainly anything under 1700 but you gotta remember at other firms sub 2000 may be absolute slacker. So.. it depends.
Lol go to Australia 4 weeks vacay with billable target credits and 1800 target is standard but pay is horrible
Credit for vacation? More firms need to do this.
