Is so much commited but being underpaid
has degree but no job,
has finished schooling but can't afford for college
Want to study but can't afford for school
Makes me feel blessed and gifted. We can just try to achieve that luxury lifestyle putting all possible hardwork / smart work whatever it takes to be there rather just complaining the life, blaming god. Nothing gonna happen.
Or its just a mindset to be happy with what we have.
I think you haven’t seen closely how expensive everything is and people with good individual salaries (2+lakh/month )salaries also don’t spend arbitrarily because things cost a lot.
I will not repeat since others have already taken empathetic angle. But one simple thing that is applicable to everyone is to ground themselves, otherwise you can lose your mind pretty easily. Sounds like you should talk to a counsellor than asking people here.
Our goal in life should be to live a happy and healthy life. Not to be rich and buy stuff. All other things are part and parcel of life. It will come gradually. We should not compare with others. This will bring depression and unnecessary peer pressure.
I bought a car when my salary was 30k/mnth. Upgraded wen salary increased. May be someday i will also buy a merc/bmw, but not today or tomorrow, but definitely someday.
7yrs vehicle loan.
I was going through something similar...you know what helped me the post? Social media detox. Deleted Instagram for awhile, tried not to look at youtube. Went back into some old hobbies and habits and it helped my mental health immensely. Sometimes you just need to step away and think about what you actually prioritize
Just want to share a couple of points with you.
1. Keep up-skilling, be positive and keep trying to learn and grow. That has to be the primary target. What seems unattainable today can completely change and I've seen two such examples in last few months
Person A : in Sept'2021, was at 12.5LPA. Today, they're at 38 LPA.
Person B : was at 4.5LPA back in March'21. Today that person is at 21 LPA.
So, What I've seen is that things can quickly change. The wages that seem so far-fetched may really be attainable for you in the next few years.
2.Stop comparing yourself with others and set yourself targets that will keep you happy.
Try to learn, build something, take care of yourself and maybe prepare and apply for interviews at new companies that can take you where you want to be.
If you keep comparing, you could keep progressing and yet feel that you're lagging behind.
It's all about your perspective. You know nothing about their background, where they came from, how many hours they put in, stop blaming others if they have all those things that only means so can you!
Life is not fair, but you got all the sources out there why don't you do something about it? If you really want you can get them all!
If this has you slipping into depression/really down, I would definitely think about talking with someone and getting a stronger sense of pride and self, because that will last you and make a bigger basis for getting things like that. Hope this helps!
I'd be willing to bet that a good portion of those people living in those big houses and driving those fancy vehicles are actually miserable. In fact, many believe that the more money you have, the bigger and more expensive your problems become. Try not to compare yourself to others and just focus on yourself and what you can control. With the exception of those who were born into wealth, the others who are doing well were once likely where you are today. Keep grinding and you'll get there too!
I think this is unnecessary generalization that if you have money there will be more problem.
Oh no! You can't let comparison steal the joy you have! At the end of the day, we won't take any of this home
Try to think how to achieve your financial goals in life. Excel is the best tool to see where we stand today and how to reach a place in future. Once you calculate your net worth today, then try to figure out how much you need to save and invest every month to reach a goal. I have been on negative net worth for years but it all worked out once I had the proper mindset to save and invest. Plus stay out of social media, most of them with fancy cars and houses may have big loans to pay off. So that's how their life becomes miserable. Or maybe inheritance or lucky investments. In any case build your skills and save as much as you can from today. You can see big difference in few years.
Buddy, the most important thing is to first of all accept that life is indeed unfair. Just look around you, this world will never be fair to everyone.
Secondly, we cannot compare ourselves with others, that's one of the root causes of unhappiness.
Desire has no limit, remember there are many people who are craving for things which you have.
And fulfilling desires don't make us happy, because there is no limit to desires, today you want the rich and lavish life which others are living, tomorrow if you get it, you'll get bored of that as well, then you'll compare yourself with somebody else who has something you don't.
Understanding that we can't run after our desires is the only thing we need to be happy.
Looking at other people only to feel sad about yourself is not gonna help. There will ALWAYS be someone who's better than you and has cooler life than you. Just the way someone must look at you and would feel I wish I had a life like his.
Get over yourself. Play the cards you've been dealt. Seek professional help to manage depression.

In reality people who drive luxury cars and own nice houses are in debt and have low net worth.
People who have real money don't show off and appear to live very ordinary lifestyle .
I have seen real examples of both types
