What type of stories do MBB consultants who want to continue their career in their company tell in their applications? Im going to apply next year but Im not sure how interesting my application can be. I dont have time to do much asides from work and in the future I'd like to work in PE (have worked in many projects in this practice) which is pretty cliché.
Can any MBB folk share examples of their general story?

Guys - What is L3 senior manager in tech consulting and how does it compare to Sr manager in other big 4? The job levels are confusing

Kinda amazed how job market froze so quickly. I remember seeing B4 audit seniors getting into B4 FDD so easy till like 9 months ago. And then it was still easy to get into MM and now it's hard to get anywhere. You gotta seize the opportunity when you see it.

I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I’m very interested in the opportunity but also don’t want to make a poor financial decision early in my career. Thank you for your time!

Anyone knows about the M&A and Partnership (BD) teams at Microsoft? Are they good exit opportunities after 2 years of MBB experience?

Help me brainstorm: my DH is late 40s and wants to pívot and get into a consulting & real estate practice. Lots of experience on the real estate side. Which firms or groups should he look at? He’s spoken to MBB and essentially they do 1-2 real estate finance type engagements a year.

Big 4 folks how much of the work at your strategy practices are PMO type of work? I feel like most of the projects in my firm are just being a PMO for hire for a client project. No real strategic work a such. I'm still entry level though so just want to see if this is how the industry will be going ahead.

I see a lot of open roles - managers, senior strategists etc. I have a top 20 MBA and about 8 years of big 4 experience in consulting - would this be the right kind of role to get into? Or is it more engineering?

What are my exit opportunities leaving Big 4 Tax after 2 years? It seems like the longer you stay in Tax the harder it is to get out and find a good position in industry.
