Heels in a bag. I’m a guy but this is def the correct answer after years of casual observation.

Roll up ballet flats, Google them Also bring a little plastic baggie, you do NOT want to walk around the New York subway and then put your rolled up shoes straight into your handbag

like

Also want the bag bc sometimes flats smell something awful. Gotta contain it 🙃

Not a lady, but have ladies on my team. All of them have two pairs of shoes. I always wonder why not wear nice flats instead of heels, but what do I know as a dude 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've always just walked around in heels. Have you ever seen that photo compilation of Rihanna walking on grates in stilettos? She's like a magician

I got the Dange Dover bag and it has a slot for your shoes!

Sorry one more thing - I usually scout out a nice office building or department store across from or next to client and change my shoes there!

like

Don’t do it. NY women embrace practicality (little choice!) Nice flats are key; if you’re patient packing heels is very acceptable and no one would look twice changing shoes anywhere

like

Agree with everyone above, super normal to change on the street/in lobby but if you MUST wear heels wear shorter chunky ones to avoid getting caught in a grate and being able to balance on the train.

Hi CGians, I have recently joined Capgemini Invent and working in a support project. People are already onsite from my account and in my team all people are working here for more than 3- 4 years. So my chances of getting an onsite from here seems 0. What steps can I take to get on-site in the near future or how can I see switch projects for an onsite opportunity

First project & ive been given ownership of a small work deliverable. I feel as though I’m not performing despite the positive feedback from my superiors. Feel as though they are just being nice & come time for feedback/review I’ll get smoked. The temptation to go way above and beyond after hours/weekend is creeping in. Any advice?

Has anybody hopped over from an MBB/T2/B4 type of firm to a boutique? Thoughts /perspectives? Would appreciate either a push off the ledge or a pull away from it. Generally fed up with the long hours, lack of project variety, and the firm’s small practice and lack of focus in my interest area and wondering if things would improve at a boutique that specializes in what I want to do.

Received an offer from McKinsey & Company and am super stoked to join, but I’m getting quite criticized in my personal life for the decision mostly because of the public image of the firm. I get where they’re coming from, but figured most of the consulting industry was like this, not just McKinsey, and strategy work is what really interests me. Any tips on how to deal with it?
