Profile - MBA from one of the IIMs, Deloitte S&O, total and post mba experience = 2 I am getting an industry offer for 34 LPA which I feel is huge considering my experience and role also seems good. My only confusion is that I feel if I stay in Deloitte for 1-2 more years, I might be able to switch to MBB or Kearney. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code. I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”. Just wondering: 1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? A client developer group just told me they reached terms to “buy equity in a lease.” From what they’ve told me, if we were setting this up fresh, I’d do a new LLC and easily handle capital contributions, buy-sell, etc. in the new LLC agreement. However, here the partner had a long-term lease on the underlying RE that our group wants to develop as a concept. Lease assignment to new LLC is dicey, but I’m thinking maybe we set up a Mgmt services company to contract w/ the partner-tenant entity?

Got a call from an agency recruiter, about a senior job that I know is taken. I’m happily employed. I would normally pursue this because it sounds very cool. But I don’t want any part in putting somebody out of work in this economy. That doesn’t mean they won’t fire that person anyway, but I want no part of it. Stupid? too virtuous?
