OP - I got my wedding jewellery off amazon India . Ordered 4, used 1 for the wedding, my mom kept 1 and returned the rest. They have a good collection at very competitive prices
The wedding is in groom’s hometown in eastern India. Calcutta would the closest major city I believe so can go shop there. The only problem is we won’t be able to get it tailored in time. Just going there for a week for the wedding. Its my sister’s wedding and I’m helping her out with the shopping. All of our family is in the US and we all fly just a week prior to the wedding. Thanks for all the tips to start looking.
Did you get a pre stitched lehenga for yourself? Where did you get the jewellery from? Please pass on the names of the boutiques just in case we fail at our online attempt. Its all very stressful, isn’t it?

I got mine ready made because no one was ready to be stitching things without a few trials at least and I don’t have time to go for the trials. There are lots of stores in Calcutta I can give you names of. But since you don’t have time for stitching try the online stores I mentioned. They can even do an international shipment here. And then, have them altered in the US if necessary.
OP- for jewelry, try searching for popular stores close to where you are. Most have websites even if they don’t have online stores. They can start making per your order or you can just pick designs from their catalog.
There will always be local stores which will send bridal wear at a reasonable cost and trick is to find the right tailor who can expedite the alterations for you.
Bride to be doesn’t believe in spending loads of money on wedding outfit. So something decent and not very expensive. Looking for recommendations from people who have tried the online wedding shopping from US.

If you live in atlanta or new jersey, houston or cali, there are plenty of indian stores where you can shop
I went to India for 4 days in July to shop so I understand the pain of not having time. Try Kalki or Aza fashions. You can even look at Persia’s pop up shop. If you tell me the city, I can tell you boutiques that you can get amazing ready made stuff. I bought mine in Calcutta. For ideas on what’s in start following Manish Makhotra bridal, sabyasaachi, Anamika Khanna, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. You will get a good idea what’s in and the styles etc.
