Speaking at a conference with Bitcoin and antique specialists soon. They are going to say the way forward is not the stock market, but alternatives - especially cryptos. How to stay sane in that room?

You can't go to that event if you respect your profession...

Many years of proven research and history about proper diversification in different asset classes over the long term... say that over and over again

Maybe that's what I say! Attending this event where we discuss cryptos and collectibles is a disservice to the financial advisory profession.

That is fantastic. Put me in a room with bunch of Crypto shizoidz and I will close all of them. People just don’t understand what is front orders, black boxes and other scam stuff. Visual explanation- it’s a reverse ATM. Dollars goes in and never comes back

funny

Stick to financial planning basics. Those things should only have a small part in someone’s overall allocation/financial plan. They should not be a significant portion. That way you don’t call their baby ugly but also show the real value of working with us

Bigger question I think is....
You voluntarily signed up to speak at something like this?

How much more opposite of our business can this be?

And who made the decision to combine bitcoin and antiques? Hmm...
So strange on many different levels.

WHY ARE YOU GOING?!

It's a conference for financial advisors in a foreign country. Organizers are looking to expose advisors to everything. Most of the stuff is useless, but how to make this point to other advisors?

That the quickest way to make the financial services industry in this country appear only to be a bunch of quacks is to have conferences like this.

You'll have the bitcoin group just like you have the gold bullion i's ther best investment group. Treat them ther same, some people will never ber convinced but there are always those who've just been caught up in

Crypto investors like others deal in emotional situations. About a year ago when bitcoin went nuts, everyone was on the wagon or at least looking to get on. Now I’m seeing it’s just another investment. Some are writing about its positive attributes but I’m also reading that it’s a rather doomed investment. I think personally it’s here to stay, but it’s star has risen and should be watched much like other investments. Most of those pushing it are not trained and are the typical internet experts
