Speaking with a Microsoft HM next week about a leadership role (L65 / L66 ?) and would like to understand what qualities they look for from their managing PM leaders? Could someone offer some insights? I have SOME of the product domain experience they’re seeking… so I was a little surprised the HM still wanted to speak.

I currently work at a super small firm in dc working on international litigations and some arbitration and I’d like to transition to a medium or big firm, but am feeling discouraged because of all the talk about how bad the job market is. Anyone out there have any advice on firms with litigation or arbitration associate openings? (I’m a 2018 grad)

I recently accepted a new position (three months ago) and I excitedly accepted the first offer of the salary not knowing allll of the responsibilities that came with this position. I have opened the door about renegotiating my salary for this position and my boss was open to it. What research can I do to see the salary ranges for this position? I’m starting to search for a new position and I see a lot of really granular roles: PM Notifications, PM, Site Navigation, etc. At my current company, I’m involved with almost the entire product and I directly own 2 current features top to bottom with multiple others in the research and design phases. When creating OKRs and looking for metrics to shoot for, how do you calculate what said key results should be? Are they idealistic in nature, or should they be rooted in the work that you’re going to embark on? Then based on that work, a scientific deducing of how that work will effect the key result in the direction you’re trying to go? Essentially, I’m trying to see how calculated one must be.

I just took over a SAAS product where I own P&L with 800 B2B clients with so much customization that it feels like 800 versions of the product. The product was acquired and there are a ton of process improvements needed, tribal knowledge and start up mentality. I have a PO who does the day to day work with the devs, but otherwise it’s just me. I’ve been a PM for 15 years and never felt so understaffed. I’d like to hear the level of responsibility you each have and how your team is structured.
