You are totally f'ed. You aren't allowed to have non-Pwc friends.
Charge to recruiting
Spent $360 on a date the other night. Yeah, you're in trouble. For being cheap.
Use to do that all the time at PwC. You're good.. especially if you're traveling. Expense it totally for yourself. If the engagement you're on is strict, expense the max and the other part personal.
If you're worried about $70 eating margin, you have other problems.
Fired
Expense part as personal
Since when do expenses cut into your margin? Don't you bill fees + expenses?
@EY1 sometimes theres an agreed upon fixed expense fee. Usually this happens when they Client is cheap or the selling partner takes smaller short term engagements.
How do you do dinner for 2 on $70? I've taken me, myself, and I out before and run up $160 tabs.
As someone who used to approve expenses, I wouldn't bat an eye unless it was a persistent expensive dinner every night. Other factor is your performance. If you are a high performer then I would definitely look the other way. If you are middle of the road and I am looking for a reason to nail you to the cross, then look out. I am not sure if PWC is actuals at every level, but follow the rule of "don't be stupid" as your job isn't worth trying to scam the company out of an extra $50.
I had a partner who one time questioned my meal expenses, since I was taking out my analyst probably 3 times a week. Analyst was local. I quickly reminded him that the analyst was local (and really awesome at the work) and I had no other local option within my group. This analyst was in demand and I am sure if he was unhappy some higher up could get him pulled off. I reminded him that if this analyst left then I would need a traveling resource that would cost him way more than the extra $100-$200 (spread over lunches and dinners per week) so needless to say the partner never questioned my expenses for the remainder of the project.
PwC 1 see you on the other side then
Thanks D2!
D2 is correct.
If you're so sure, why are you asking? Internal audit and managers are getting more and more pressure to deliver higher margins has increased as part of cost cutting. Good luck 👍🏽
Good thing you sent EY. Word on the street is they can't expense any meals
Not if you do a % fee for expenses
D3, you're wrong. So is your information, unless you're talking to your equivalents working in admin positions.
Thanks D2. Been here with current client over a year, so it's not a long term engagement 😋
It's dishonest, but won't get you in trouble unless you tell them.
