Spent an entire week putting together hundreds of hearing exhibits...then client decided they wanted to change the order of them....the day they were due-as a strategy move. 🤦🏼‍♀️ They’re done now and I survived but I’m wondering if anyone has tips/suggestions on how to make a process like that more efficient for next time. Is there software you use? How do keep everything organized without losing your mind?

i submitted all docs in HCL in june, its august now, offer letter not released, when asked HR, she is saying that she is following up with project.

I was told to wait for some days multiple times, and now i am told to wait one week more, moreover when i asked HR this time that will i get offer letter eventually she herself sounded unsure and told to keep other opportunities open, i am not sure if the hiring is frozen or is on hold ?

I just received my Christmas bonus, and I am floored. My bonus was equal to one month’s salary. This is my first year bag in the field in 10 years. At my last firm, my Christmas bonus was a target gift card. I honestly wasn’t even expecting a Christmas bonus. The firm is already helping me pay my tuition and allowing me to be flexible with my hours. I usually exceed my monthly billing goal by 10-20 hours. But there have been times I barely scraped by! Hello, I’ve been doing litigation for 6 years. I truly hate it and I’m wondering how difficult it would be to transfer to a different type of law (possibly at the same firm)? What is the least stressful paralegal role? Or what other types of jobs can I get to avoid billable hours and over the top stress? Help please, I need a more sustainable job that I actually like. Litigation is too chaotic for my personality.

Any bonus structure suggestions that you all deem fair? At my firm we have to bill over a certain amount of hours to get a good bonus. All paralegals have different areas of expertise, years of experience, and some get to work from home while others don’t. I don’t understand why we’re all expected to bill the same amount of hours. My Shareholder came into my office yesterday and proceeded to tell me that "we" were getting sloppy & "we" needed to get our billable up and that she had missed things. She made a point to say hers were low & she never gave me info regarding billable time. Our biggest client cuts half our time.

I work at a BL firm in NYC. My firm recently hired a paralegal manager has zero experience in corporate (her most recent position is a realtor in Miami Beach, nobody knows WTH how she got hired). Because she has no experience, she doesn’t know what each paralegal can handle here. She constantly send me IP or real estate work (I’m a private equity paralegal). I sent her a list of what type of work I do but she completely ignored my email. What should I do?
