General musing - it seems like the vast majority of recs in here are for super expensive hotels and resorts (St Regis, etc). I work in consulting and make good money but can’t fathom spending $600+ a night on a hotel. Am I really in the minority or is it just that ppl staying at the Ritz want to show off?
With Hilton now. Should I switch to SPG or Marriot? Do it before or after the official merger?
Qn about SPG platinum breakfast amenity - is it valid only once during the stay or for each day? I'm told I can use it only once during the stay 🤷🏻♂️
I'm racking up a backlog of points that I'm not spending, SPG, Marriott, Amex, Chase(SR), AA and Dellta. What's the best way to keep track of them all and manage for best redemption?

Any recommendations for Marriott properties in Caribbean or Central America to spend points for the family vacation? May. Everything seems to be blacked out.
A good indicator of a bad day is drinking Sutter Home from the Hilton Garden Inn pantry.
Been diligently saving up Marriott points to convert to SPG for an upcoming Hawaii trip. I must have read the point conversion ratio backward and now I'm 7k points short and working remotely 🙃
Know you travel too much when you can judge the status of the SPG integration by the now matching granola in Marriott and SPG.
Got home - realized I left a pair of slacks in the hotel room - Marriott sending them back on their dime - thanks Marriott!
Planning a family (2 adults and 2 kids) trip to NYC for four days. Which Marriott property would you suggest in Times Square area? Marquis or Westin or Sheraton? Thanks!
Thinking of either Belize or Costa Rica late fall this year. Any recommendations? In particular would like to hear about Marriott hotels and off-property excisions in both countries. Thanks!
It seems consultants are either Starwood or Marriott loyal, but what are some other offerings out there that you’d recommend? (I’m SPG Plat)
Headed to a T2 this summer for my MBA internship. Thinking of rerecruiting for MBB in the fall. Anyone know how recruiting might look this year post-COVID? Thanks in advance!!
Spinning off an earlier post, is it better to quit or get laid off? I would think quitting and using the time to "re-center" (i.e. Travel for a few months) then job hunt would look better than lay off
I need advice on salary negotiation. During the interview process, I said I’m expecting a salary of 130k. They called me and said I’m the one and wanted me to agree on a number before putting it (cont
Prepping for AWS Cloud Practitioner cert. Any suggested on sample test questions that best represent the exam?

My H1-B visa has expired and I need renewal stamping. Anyone have recent experience of this? I believe Mexico just stopped doing this for TCNs, and that Bahamas only allows those that have NOT changed employer since their first visa - can anyone confirm? It also looks like Canada is emergency only
Any tips for getting a job abroad? Currently working in Germany, applications abroad are basically all instantly discarded, while I have always get invitations for interviews in Germany. Have lived abroad multiple years before… I open for many countries, currently looking at Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, US, Singapore and Australia.
Thinking about going for the 1-year mba since I know exactly what I want to exit to and would like to save money if possible. Are there drawbacks I’m missing that make a 2-year worth it?
hey all, i’m 3 years into my career. some decent work produced, some awards (mostly student). after getting laid off last fall and many many applications and emails sent, I’ve decided to spend time and money on a creative PR stunt to get my dream agencies’ attention. I’ve decided I don’t want to settle any longer, and I’m ready to make the jump to the elite. so people that have made it to their dream agencies: when did it happen for you, what made it happen, and was it everything you hoped for?

One year and a couple of months in EY’s People Advisory practice, and some HR internship experiences. I’ve done work with the talent team on my projects in the past. I’m looking to go internal ASAP so let me know if you have advice or know of any roles opening in your company 🙂
I know Python, SQL, Tableau, some cloud technologies. What skills can I continue to learn to make myself more valuable as I try to exit consulting? Any recommendations on positions I should start applying to?
How much did you spend per person on holiday gifts this year? Curious what most people are doing. Talking to friends I feel cheap. Although I’m a proud miser and don’t care, I’m just curious.
