That is odd! If the other teachers and staff dress up then go for it!
That's so funny, as in weird, we are rewarded for dressing up!
Not only our principal but our top admin wants the faculty to dress up for all spirit days and fun week activities throughout the school year. They feel it builds special bonds with the students and shows the community we are proud of our school and of our students.
That is very odd! Teachers always dress up for spirit days here. Find out what the rest of the staff does and then decide?
My principal dresses up!
We are highly encouraged to dress up. That's so bizarre! Our admin dresses up as well. I'd ask some of your other colleagues.
We are always encouraged to participate in spirit days at our school!!
The kids love it when they see teachers be a part of those events too
What is the theme for the spirit day? Did she explain her rationale for why she thought participating would be considered unprofessional? We have a high number of teachers at our school who participate in all our spirit week dress up days...
Do it! Be excited and enjoy it as you were planning to.
Dressing up as a teacher is a big deal at our school. As someone else said, the kids get really excited to see the teachers participating and wearing crazy clothes. I would feel like I was missing out if I was told to not dress up.
