Sponsored MBB consultant planning on going back. What would you choose between a half scholarship at Wharton, no money at Harvard, and no money at Stanford?

If it's sponsored, why would you need to think about scholarships? I would choose GSB.

If you have sponsorship, you’re still going to spend money but I would choose H/S unless there was a strong personal reason to be in philly or take the money. What are your post MBB goals? I’ve noticed for example that for VC , people have had much more success with H/S on their resume than Wharton, booth , even many years out of school. It’s not a quantifiable benefit but I think it’s worth it. (Chose HBS over a small Wharton scholarship)

like

C1 is right. Stanford for Tech. HBS is good for both Finance and Tech, and has a lot of clout in the East Coast.

like

Congrats on getting in! Would love to learn your story and stats.

Personally I would pick H/S depending on career goals over W

like

I would take HBS, though I know most folks will tell you to take GSB. Sitting on the case method was exhilaration for me at least.

like

If you’re interested in anything international, would say HBS. Realize brand recognition difference is still quite notable...

like

I would pick H/S. Although Wharton is amazing, I think the incremental lifetime value that you get from H/S ends up being more than $100k. Definitely a matter of personal opinion, though.

like

OP for curiosity what were your test scores / stats?

like

Expecting not the receive any financial aid because of salary/savings?

Congrats on getting in!

HBS if you wanna end up on the east coast/international, GSB if you wanna end up on the west coast.

No real reason to choose Wharton, the money they’re offering you is peanuts compared to your likely long term career earnings at this point

I would pick W or HBS

GSB 100% - I was so impressed with Stanford’s program and quality of resources

Would you be able to elaborate? Keen on understanding the unique opportunities at GSB.

like

GSB.

Feedback has been that I’ve been close but barely edged out by the hyper competitive applicant pool. Anyone else been so close yet so far away?
