1. All leadership people with no manners and ethics
2. Hustle porn environment with zero quality focused product development
3. Employee who are resigning they are treated as enemy. Their salary/bonus gets blocked
4. Tremendous work pressure and employees are force to stay till 2 AM in office and again return at 9AM in the morning
5. 1:1 manager to employee ratio
6. Playing with freshers career by hire n fire

Upper management's direction is to put together the most aggressive deadlines we can. If we think a project will take 16 months, make the plan for 10 months then there's a chance we may launch in 13 months.

I understand that time to market is important in consumer product goods, but being constantly behind schedule and rushing everything is terrible for the team's morale.

Not sure if the right spot but need help figuring out my worth. I am with a large real estate PE firm, mcol area, and I am technically in FP&A. That said I do 95% of my work automating valuations, fund models, and underwriting using SQL, python, and excel (for end users to be able to use). Given my technical department, my skill set, and my actual work I don’t know where to start for understanding an appropriate salary. I have 5 years industry experience with both finance & tech.

What is the best way to begin a transition from a help desk job to an actual career path in IT? I’m getting close to being at my current job for a year, however I have a lot of experience in the tech field, which is what landed me this job without any actual IT background.
