You’re a senior manager and that’s your interpretation of that data? This gives all of us hope we too can rise to the level of our incompetence!
At best, that survey took <600 people across 15 states and showed the difference. So first, let’s agree that 40 people per state is probably not a representative sample. Secondly, they only gave aggregated results - this is because they couldn’t go state by state based on the small sample but somehow you interpret that as Trump winning each of the 15 states?
Let’s take a look at the average of polls instead of the one you’ve cherry picked and see what the data says.
Really gotta love a guy that sees his candidate down by 5+ points nationally and tries to claim victory!

Trump fans: "the polls were wrong in 2016, so polls are a joke"
Also Trump fans: "except this one, that shows Trump winning!"
Meanwhile, people that understand how statistics work...

What other facts do you need to know to prove to you it was wrong? Black man jogging gets shot by two white men. Caught on video. Only someone looking to justify this would seek some “fact.”

I’m more concerned with the quality of the poll and SSRS as a capable org. It was phone surveys (land and mobile) to 1100 ppl. Battleground is a single category, so there’s no proper weighting for distribution and representativeness of the sample. If that weren’t bad enough, the difference is pretty much in the range of statistical error

Valid arguments. To add to your point, I also question why this was even a news article that attracted attention in the first place.
And, more broadly, I question why gross negligence with data interpretation seems to be a recurring theme. It's exhausting to have to constantly set the record straight, and I find it distracting to real issues that we face as a country.

Too early to call it. Lots of time to let Biden keep talking (unless the DNC kicks him out), and lots of time to let the smoke clear on the federal response to COVID -and how some of the states responded, like NY and NJ.
