Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.

How come I don't see many black/those of African descent partners (or those on track to becoming partners) in big 4 (Deloitte PwC ), MBB and other consulting firms. Outside of a one or two here or there this group is painfully underrepresented compared to other ethnic groups. What steps are these firms doing to change this?

Yes.
Think of admissions consulting firms like shoes.
Yea, Nike is a reputable name brand. They make quality shoes but also some shitty ass shoes too.
At the end of the day, the specific shoe you get is much more important than the brand name.
The same goes for admissions consulting. SBC has some great consultants, has some shitty consultants. Hard to qualify for the entire company. Individual fit way more important, brand name means nothing. Talk to friends, do free consultations, research before signing up for anything.
After all, just like shoes, you’re working with an individual, not the company.
