I think you can just request it from the firm. I got mine and never used it lol

like

Def request it from the firm. You'll get it within a few days

like

I thought at EY only staff 2 and above could request monitors?

like

^same I got mine the week after 101 training

like

Got one the first week. Couldn't imagine working without one

like

Definitely request it. The process isn't difficult. My BU, even though it falls under assurance, isn't automatically approved but our partner approved it so everyone gets one in my group. It's a quick form to fill out and send in.

like

Yeah, would hope they have screens for you to request. I thought everyone did that. I ❤ my screen

I got 2 from work, never used it

I got the HP one (forget the model number, but it's a common one) earlier last year. Works well. I use a regular monitor, the portable, and my laptop monitor to complete my setup. Decent enough.

Nah, I got mine withing the first week of being with the firm

Have two from work . In the box still

I think it depends on the business unit I have asked a few times and it has gotten denied.

^true depends on BU. Mine is slow with approvals. Easier to just buy your own

I got one from the firm but there is no effing place on the Audit table to put it

Typically, firm policies don't cover supplies like monitors for "home offices" aka working from home. Do you have one normally just don't want to pack it up and take it with you or just not have one at all?

As a first year - if you like working with a particular partner a lot, is it a good idea to just volunteer for all the work they have for you to do, or is it better to try to get a balance of different work from the practice group? Not trying to come off like Incrediboy.

Many corporate associates at my firm (AmLaw 100 firm) have been leaving (for other firms, in house, etc.). This is to the extent that almost no colleagues that I worked directly with just 6 months ago remain, although the firm has made many new hires. I’m happy at the firm, but should I be nervous because of these recent developments?
