Started a new job after 3 months unemployment and anxiety/depression has returned with a vengeance. Nothing stressful has happened yet…but I can’t sleep and generally feel on edge. I work out and am on medication…how do you manage your anxiety?!

Ugh, unsuccessfully. In the moment, I do that breathing exercise where you take a deep breath in through one side of your nose and then breathe out through the other. And other grounding exercises, like the one where you name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, etc etc. But longterm management I’m struggling.

Hi! Currently at a really unhealthy weight. I hired a personal trainer for about 6 weeks to help me kick start my wellness journey but I feel like it was a rip-off. I would see him once a week for about an hour but I feel as lost in the gym as when I first started. Does anyone use any resources or apps to create their gym workouts? My mental health is declining so low because of work. I really want to take a long break or quit because I honestly feel like I can’t handle this pressure. I have a call with a therapist (first call) tomorrow and I hope to get some good advice there. I just have never felt this low before in my life and am scared for my mental health. Anyone experience exhaustion setting in at the end of second trimester? First trimester came with exhaustion like I have never experienced before and then most of second trimester has been more or less back to normal energy levels. Currently at 26 weeks and have been totally dragging for the past week or more. Does anyone have tips for getting through this?

Googling ADHD today (I’m having a distracted day) and super frustrated because I’m realizing that I was likely misdiagnosed as depressed for years. I was taking SSRIs and dealing with awful side effects while I struggled for so long. I finally got an official diagnosis about 10 years ago but was never taught the symptoms or how to manage them. Found you tube channel ADDitutde magazine. Several really good presentations with recent developments Thought I’d share.

How much do you actually sleep? In an industry so full of glory for people who put in the most hours, I’m hard pressed to find the real answers here.

Everything I do feels like pulling teeth. Whether it's doing the dishes or working on a PowerPoint deck. Doing something for work especially just causes me so much anxiety at the "thought" have having to do it. People think I'm lazy.

Any chance this is a sign of adhd? I take antidepressants (which have helped w my suicidal tendencies) but I just get so overwhelmed and anxious when I have to focus on something important

I’m having my second anxiety attack since yesterday and can’t seem to get a grip. How do you clear your mind? I usually go for a walk each day (morning or at lunch) to break from work, get some fresh air and try to clear my mind. However, within a few minutes of thinking about nothing or something personal my mind drifts back to work and the worries that come along with it and I fall into a hole. After I realise this I stop but then fall into the trap again. Does anyone have any tips on how I can overcome this problem?
