Started a new role and ended up making more $ last year than what is allowed for roth ira contributions (although i’ve already contributed the full amount to my account) assuming the best path here (before filing taxes) is 1) call vanguard and ask to recharacterize all my contributions last year into a traditional ira 2) convert that traditional ira into a roth 3) start contributing this year to traditional and repeat back door process. Correct thinking?

The pension is good but I do not enjoy my work anymore and there is limited to no mobility at my level. I was recently offered a global hrbp role for 30k more than I am making now. I’m not sure what to do! Do I stick out 3 years for the pension or take this new position?

Haven't gotten the details yet, but recruiter sent me for 95-100 base, expecting ~20% annual bonus, full medical dental, free lunch and gym FWIW. Is this low? Is it worth sticking around 1 more year as senior for potentially better? The position has a lot of growth potential, as the shop is quickly expanding. What other factors do I consider?

Had the strangest interview with Uber with the hiring manager. I thought it was cool they wore pajamas to my interview though. Anyways, manager asked me more questions about walking through resume, why Uber, working with partners, etc then says that's all I have with 15 mins remaining for questions? Keep in mind we had 30 mins. I thought I'd at least make it to the exercise round instead received feedback from recruiter they were looking for direct program framework & methologies experience?!

Hi, I have an offer from GlobalLogic for Senior QE Manager. They are offering ₹36 lpa fixed + ₹4 lpa bonus (which is paid out 100%) = approx ₹40.5 lpa. I have my HR round scheduled with Morgan Stanley this week for Vice President QA position (designation is equivalent to Senior QA Manager). I'm thinking of quoting ₹43 lpa base (comes to approx. ₹47 lpa including PF etc.). Would this be a reasonable ask? Pls comment. YOE 17 in Quality Engineering (Java/Selenium/Test Management). Thanks.

I’ve been in SaaS for 2 years now & at this startup went from a BDR to ISR and here the ISR functions essentially as an Associate/Junior AE since we handle our own pipeline + deal with a full sales cycle. Base is 52K w/ 70K OTE & I’ve hit 150% of my quota last Q. Potential to get an AE role within the next 6months but no guarantee. Have been offered a DevOps role by one of the🇨🇦 big banks includes full training + certifications for 80K salary. Be patient or jump?

HR told me that they won't be able to match it and will get back to me in few hours. Meanwhile another HR was in touch with me regarding document submission on iBegin portal.
