Started applying for jobs at a different big 4. The internal recruiter started ghosting me despite them saying they’d reach out to the groups im interested in. Ended up connecting with a tax director who referred me to a role (this was one job the recruiter had said they’d look into for me) and I’m in the middle of interviews. I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens.
