Started at a B4 in July but have been really unhappy. I was reached out by a recruiter at a mid-tier firm to do audit. Is it crazy to explore the opportunity? (Cont.)

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

I am getting reminder mails from big 4 to submit the documents. Although I have informed HR that I will not be able to join their organisation. What should I do now.

What's the typical raise % progression for senior managers in big 4? (preferably for tax but all services lines are welcome to chime in!).

for example:

Senior manager 1 > 2 = 9% ?
Senior manager 2 > 3 = 12% ?

Etc...

Any interview tips for a manager role? I'm coming from a smaller consulting firm with a lot of experience filling prominent interim executive positions at large well known health systems. The people im interviewing with have largely big 4 backgrounds but i am very comfortable with the projects and managerial roles the job description entails, but i am wondering if you big boys have any particular things you look for when youre hiring for this type of role, or any sort of preemptive judgements for those that dont come from big consulting firms. The manager role at this company is two levels below partner (with only sr. Manager in between). Thoughts?

Big 4 M1 Tax salary in Minnesota? That big 4 transparency doesn't seem to help much. Getting paid less right now and looking to switch to another PA firm.

I'm tired and worn out after 5 years at the Big 4. How do you keep doing it if you don't have an out. I need to keep going at least another 2 years. I'd appreciate any advice.

I’ve been at same company for 3 years now doing corporate accounting. It was my first job out of college but I have wanted to leave since year 1. The last year I’ve been really putting in the effort to go elsewhere (I’d like to switch to Big 4). Starting to feel really discouraged with the job search and feeling extremely burned out with my current job to the point where I want to just put in my two weeks and hope it gives me the jolt to find something else. Looks like B4 partners makes the most $$ in the long run, even tech/FAANG or industry level senior roles doesn’t pay more then $600-700k, except a few roles like ceo/IB/PE/other financial roles/startup rsu (of u r lucky). Came to the conclusion after reading all the posts in this and other bowls. May be MBB, but if u add pensions, I think B4 is better. Thoughts?

Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. I had an interview where the interviewer was acting extremely weird-almost as if she was trying to deter me from wanting the position. I shared about it in another bowl and many people suggested reaching out to the recruiter. After a lot of anxiety and overthinking, I reached out. I reiterated my interest and specifically said the interview was bad in my opinion. What are your thoughts?? Will I just be ghosted?
