Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.
I am getting reminder mails from big 4 to submit the documents. Although I have informed HR that I will not be able to join their organisation. What should I do now.
What's the typical raise % progression for senior managers in big 4? (preferably for tax but all services lines are welcome to chime in!).
Senior manager 1 > 2 = 9% ?
Senior manager 2 > 3 = 12% ?
What has your experience been here?
Any interview tips for a manager role? I'm coming from a smaller consulting firm with a lot of experience filling prominent interim executive positions at large well known health systems. The people im interviewing with have largely big 4 backgrounds but i am very comfortable with the projects and managerial roles the job description entails, but i am wondering if you big boys have any particular things you look for when youre hiring for this type of role, or any sort of preemptive judgements for those that dont come from big consulting firms. The manager role at this company is two levels below partner (with only sr. Manager in between). Thoughts?
Looking to get out of a small SAP consulting firm that does everything from EDI to Technical abap support to implementations. Any advice on going to the big 4? Any big 4 hiring?

Prepping for a loop for a non-tech manager role based out of Austin. Recruiter couldn’t share level, but estimated TC Y1 range of $150-$160. Does this sound right? Any thoughts on breakdown between base/bonus/RSU? Coming in from a Big 4 tax role in MCOL, so not familiar with tech comp/Austin benchmarks.

Starting at a B4 Post Merger Integration group as an experienced hire (SA level). Have done some M&A work before but I really want to hit the ground running. Big 4 M1 Tax salary in Minnesota? That big 4 transparency doesn't seem to help much. Getting paid less right now and looking to switch to another PA firm.
I'm tired and worn out after 5 years at the Big 4. How do you keep doing it if you don't have an out. I need to keep going at least another 2 years. I'd appreciate any advice.
I’ve been at same company for 3 years now doing corporate accounting. It was my first job out of college but I have wanted to leave since year 1. The last year I’ve been really putting in the effort to go elsewhere (I’d like to switch to Big 4). Starting to feel really discouraged with the job search and feeling extremely burned out with my current job to the point where I want to just put in my two weeks and hope it gives me the jolt to find something else. Any advice/words of encouragement?😅
Started at Big 4 strategy recently. How long should I wait before trying to transition to MBB/T2?
Seems like they're hiring like crazy right now and don't want to miss the boat :(
Has anyone switched from audit to regulatory reporting? Is it worth it if transfer from a big 4 audit senior to top1 bank as a regulatory reporting analyst? How is exit opportunity for this position? Thinking of transfer to consulting internally but got this chance to interview with the bank for regulatory reporting. Not sure which one should I go.
Looks like B4 partners makes the most $$ in the long run, even tech/FAANG or industry level senior roles doesn’t pay more then $600-700k, except a few roles like ceo/IB/PE/other financial roles/startup rsu (of u r lucky). Came to the conclusion after reading all the posts in this and other bowls. May be MBB, but if u add pensions, I think B4 is better. Thoughts?

Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. Never heard back and it’s been several weeks yet keep getting texts from the schedule if office to see patients. Is this typical for home health or a red flag? I have only worked in SNF and acute so I am new to HH plus this company specializes in lymphedema therapy. I am a CLT but want just a little but of training.
The F1 gossip just gives me life.

When you are likely to lose 48 hrs of PTO but you have no availability to take it before busy season 😭
I had an interview where the interviewer was acting extremely weird-almost as if she was trying to deter me from wanting the position. I shared about it in another bowl and many people suggested reaching out to the recruiter. After a lot of anxiety and overthinking, I reached out. I reiterated my interest and specifically said the interview was bad in my opinion. What are your thoughts?? Will I just be ghosted?
*just FYI, I sent this email 2 weeks after the second interview.
Anybody have to take time off for long-covid? How has your HR handled it? I feel like any info I have gotten on FMLA and disability is because I’ve brought it up and have had to follow up multiple times.
KPMG reached out to me earlier this week and I’m interviewing for a tax position tomorrow morning. JD working on CPA. Working for a regional firm right now making $79k. I like it, but the benefits aren’t great.
Would anyone working in tax at KPMG recommend making the switch? What do your hours look like? Are you satisfied with the benefits?
Something I think about a lot. At what point would you be willing to not go into work to protest / fight for something you care deeply about politically?

How would you report over 15K of income received for academic consulting on a 1040? The person didn't receive a W-2 or 1099 from the company. When asked, the company said they considered the person an independent contractor and they only provide documents for employees. The person was paid monthly through PayPal.
