Started at a new company in April. I'm happy overall with the work and people, but the compensation is about 50-75k less than market value for my role.

Would it be unwise/looked down upon if I ask for a raise at EoFY review in September? Any advice helps. TIA!

Was anybody out here not keeping these things?? I wouldn't be able to bear tossing them away! I even got to show one of my former students her letter to me years after she wrote it when I knew I'd see her on a trip; we both teared up over it.

Over the last three years my mfg company has had a lot of people leave and each time I take on the extra responsibility - from admin, payroll, benefits, compliance, safety, inventory and shipping. I literally do it all. And not only that, but I’ve eliminated and optimized a lot of wasteful processes in order to get it all done. I thought that it would all come with eventual pay increases since it saves the company over 300k in overhead. This whole time I should have been OE. I feel like a fool.

In the midwest, talking to a small agency. If I take a FT role and possibly move in a few months, wondering if they’d be open to me staying on remotely. Everything’s been remote for them for a while anyway and will likely continue to be. Any thoughts on how to approach this scenario? Want to do right, but don’t want to be overly precautious either.

Q for HR folks! For companies who have offices in US and Canada, how easy would it be for American HR team to set up a role & compensation via the Canadian office for a Canadian remote worker? Would be a lot of work? But i know companies like Meta and Spotify do do this.

I'm Canadian and applied to a US remote role. Canadians don't need a visa for this. One of the ways would be to use Canadian entity's hr/payroll services. They showed keen interested but waned since finding out I'm Canadian.
