Companies need a more hands-on and interactive approach; the era of relying solely on your vendor is gone if you value your company and its assets.
We need to look closely at our supply chains and ensure they keep up with security standards; of course, this is a two-way street.
Lead by example, implement controls, deploy an active security awareness campaign and practice good cyber hygiene.

Yes, I went from $156k to $236k TC. (Over 50% increase for those of you not wanting to switch to your calculator app)
The crazy part is I got that without changing jobs, just regular promotion cycle!
I was getting ready to jump but figured I'd give the company one last chance. Good thing I did!
Where do you work?
Jumped from government in June (GS-12, 7 yoe) to Consulting as an Associate ($121k base), and got a MSA effective on Saturday ($127,690). 68% pay hike over the span of 6 months.
May sound modest to some, but to me the full progression has been far above what I expected. Hoping to hit $150,000 this year:
August 2014: $27,400 (GS 03)
August 2015: Fellowship Ended
August - October 2015: $0
October 2015 - December 2015: $600 (internship)
December 2015: $27,675 (GS 03) (time in service didn’t transfer, chalked up to naïveté in not challenging HR more)
March 2016: $31,521 (GS 04) Grew some confidence, challenged HR, got a mid-year promotion
December 2016: $35,265 (GS 05)
December 2017: $44,941 (GS 07)
December 2018: $56,233 (GS 09)
December 2019: $69,581 (GS 11)
December 2020: $86,335 (GS 12)
June 2021: $121,000 (Joined my firm)
January 2022: $127,690 (MSA)
High likelihood your wife had a higher step. I was always GS XX-Step 1. Here were the 2020 totals: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/salaries-wages/salary-tables/pdf/2020/DCB.pdf
Started with depression this year. Ending with more depression this year, plus bonus obviously.
Sending good vibes! Opportunities are right around the corner. Hang on my friend
$105K base (and $50 1800FLOWERS bonus) to $173 base + 20% bonus
@SC4, was an SC at EY, then moved to SKP as an SC ($135k base, 16% bonus), and then got promoted to Manager ($173 base, 20% bonus). Note we updated our titles effective Jan 1 so historical and current TC based on title won’t align correctly.
$188k to up to $450k TC
What type of role at faang out of curiosity? I though AP did mostly RX work and not sure where that typically slots in tech
Left Amazon, was making 180k, with no prospects a few weeks ago.
Just signed 250k offer at a startup.
Im a frontend engineer with 14 yoe
DA1 = Data Analyst 1 = the person who posted before D2 aka Deloitte 2
Started with 0 this year and ending the year with adding six more 0's. What a ride.
I went from 76 to 150 but dang ya got me on that 😂 great feeling but if anything I just realized how little “6-figures” is in the grand scheme of being “rich”. Certainly far from it. Nevertheless still super stoked on where I am. Congrats to you OP
Mentor
114k+15k eoy bonus (which I left for before I got)
To 205k base, $50k in various bonuses, and up to $120k in potential bonuses coming up in 7 months.

Lol that BASE jump is actually pretty big
$120K to $180K and just got into law school! Life is certainly wild some times
I can’t imagine law school with full time professional career. Dual MBA was hard enough
97k this time last year. Today $170k (base).
5 years in talent. Workforce Transformation to Talent and Org
Similar jump for me $100k -$220k; fortune for the opportunities, experiences, and what’s ahead!
153k on Dec 31 2020 to 210k on Jan 15 of this year. Plus bonus obviously.
82K this time last year we to 110k now and starting 155K in January.
6 YOE starting with another B4 in Jan. Tax
380 to 640
Wow ok. I only ever meet SCs or Ms who moved over to MAANG but a former MD who says life is actually much better at MAANG....what an endorsement.
Lol I made a jump from It audit to management consulting at big 4. Salary jump is not too wild 55k to 115k. Apparently I should have asked for more lmao..I feel the exits will be worth it later on the though.
That’s a huuuuge jump… congrats
240 to 390 .. blessed
What type of role at faang?
Impressive OP!
My growth hasn't been nearly as meteoric as yours in a year, but it's been good enough for me.
Year 3: 120k
Year 4: 170k (consulting into tech)
Year 5: 180k
Year 6: 225k
Year 7: 350k
Is this TC factoring in equity growth?
Hmm. I need this success recipe. Well, as long as I dont end up paying for a MLM scam ..
