Anyone have experience moving from a mid-tier firm to B4? What big differences have you found in work load and stress level if any? Is the switch really worth it. Currently A2 and on track to S1.
Men’s hair style/ facial hair, and interviewing at Big4 poll: 1. Ok to have longer hair 2. Only medium/short hair is professional 3. Trimmed beard & mustache ok 4. Only mustache ok 5. Long beards ok 6. Clean shaven only 7. Hair style/facial hair have no relevance
How’s the WLB in EYP TSE group ? Thinking of applying but have heard horror stories of MBB equivalent stress levels.EY-Parthenon
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
How do you ask about WLB/hours per week in an interview? Do you just ask about culture and hope they talk about it?
Has anyone butchered a case interview, recovered from it, and have gotten the job? If so, how did you recover from it? Any advice for those who are scared shitless of case interviews?
Interviewed for a job late 2018. Accepted another offer. A day later, the first job reached out and I told them. Lost job for going to HR over a verbally abusive boss. Is it weird to reach back out...
🐠 fam - how’s FAANG sr prod manager screening different than consulting manager role with MBB? Anything out of the usual? Have an interview coming up soon and help will be great!

Currently interviewing with Google and working with a recruiter in a specific function, is it frowned upon to keep applying to stuff if it’s relevant to my experience (outside recruiters function)....
Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
Have an interview for the S&O analyst with the Scaled Revenue Programs team. Any insights will be greatly appreciated. TIA!
EY recruiter wants to schedule a call to "debrief" the interviews. Would they call me to reject me?
I'm getting my MBA from the University of Arizona, how prestigious is the AACSB accreditation? And do MBB or Big 4 Consultant firms care about it?
TFW when you interview for a job, don't get it, then a year later, you're asked to sort resumes at your current job...and the person who got that job you were rejected for is at the top of the pile
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Do people in analytics groups (Quantum Black, Gamma, Lighthouse, etc) get access and exposure to the parent firm's training for general mgmt consultants?
Women! Do u think you are at par with your male peers in terms of salary and title? If so, how have you negotiated that?
Serious question. What baby items are most expensive? (other than diapers, formula, college education, nanny.. Etc)
Is getting CFE worth it? I’ve failed the 3 different sections of the CPA and I am giving up. But I would like some kind of certification to look a tad more marketable. Thoughts?
Does anyone else find it difficult to ask for time off? I haven’t taken a “vacation day” since February, billed 185+ hour months consistently through the pandemic (exceeded hours for 2020 bonus eligibility), and am feeling pretty burnt out. It’s hard because other associates in my department haven’t really taken any time off either (or it has been a day or two sporadically). Would really love to take some days over Christmas to recharge but I’m nervous about perception.
Thoughts on EW MBA from Booth/Kellogg/Haas. Currently SC at Deloitte and want to transition to tier 1 consulting firms

Employer 401k states no voluntary after tax contributions allowed. I have made zero 401k and/or Roth contributions in 2019, have 2 more paychecks left before 04/15. How do I maximize contribution?
Has anyone seen Hotel/Airline status challenges? I was told by some people I work with we usually get them a couple times a year. I remember one when I was at welcome to EY but that's it.
What accommodations can be made for a Deloitte case interview? Should I ask my recruiter or no? I would just disclose that I have a learning disability but adhd depending on what I need to disclose
New SM at a firm and asked to lead a difficult project with abrasive client that 6+ SMs before me have cycled through and all been rolled off. I don’t have much of a choice being new to the firm… or do I? My thought was to sell my own role elsewhere (have lots of relationships) but the freight train has left the station & being on boarded to the challenging environment instead. Tips aside from - just do it & prove them all wrong? Can’t phone it in because I’m new. Any advice is welcomed
If Amex changes the schedule of a flight I booked with points through the portal can I get a refund?
The number of apps/utility tools we’re using is ridiculous. I probably spend an hour of my day just reading Basecamp 2, Basecamp 3, Wrike, Microsoft Teams, and slack notifications
