Switch to FAAS EY, you’ll be making 110k

You already know it’s low. I’ll confirm it again. If you want to stay then get a competing offer and negotiate to rate you are willing to stay at or take the other job.

Full disclosure I haven’t worked for EY, but everything is negotiable and if they don’t then just take the other offer.
Yes that def seems low. I’m at 75k as a senior 1 in audit. The previous group of seniors 1’s promoted before covid hit were in the 80s.
Yep nyc
I was at 84k as a senior 2 in EY tax.
Assuming HCOL, were you an experienced higher or start with MST? Seeing stuff like this (7k difference) is what makes me think I’m on the low end of the pay band when I genuinely don’t think I should be
What part of indirect? Property is probably going to pay less than something like SALT income tax or sales tax.
Yeah, I'd probably schedule a short meeting with you know who. Just let him know you really like working at the firm Yada Yada but you think you're looking at your salary and the market, and "what do you think." I'd kind of leave it a little open ended like that and see what he says.
If he asks if you have a competing offer, something like
"I don't really like playing two sides against each other or applying to firms just for the purpose of getting a competing offer when I really do like EY. I don't think it's fair to EY or any potential other firm to use another firms offer just to get a bump here. But I have to do what's best for me and my family. So if I were to get an offer at another firm, I wouldn't try to shop it around, which is why I wanted to come talk to you now."
He's smart. He knows what EY is paying others and he knows what the market is paying.
