Set. Boundaries. Early.

I’m not IPA1 but I set boundaries early as a new lateral, from a v20 to another v20. I personally did it by my actions, not by words. Getting the work done really well, when I was asked to do it, demonstrated my commitment. Not responding to emails between the hours of 11pm-6am, and letting partners know when I would be away from my desk, set boundaries without me having to actually say anything. Make sense?
You got this. New firm is a clean slate!
I just did this and it has been amazing!! I've been able to completely re-invent myself as an attorney. My last firm was my first time doing litigation, so while they taught me a lot, they still kinda saw me as a baby lawyer after three years.
At my new firm, they have no preconceived notions of my experience or what I can do. They just assume that I'm competent (which I am). They gave me a list of cases, told me how they do things, and let me loose. My boss even went on vacation for two days during my first week.
Just go into it with an open and positive mind! You're no longer bound to who you were at your old position.
The past is NOT prologue. This will be a whole new experience.
Starting a great new job can be stressful, even if it's going to be a great experience for you. Jitters are totally expected (I feel the same way every time I start a new job). Just go in knowing that they hired you for a reason--they evaluated plenty of potential candidates and made you the offer because they thought you would be the best fit. Be yourself, be confident in what you know, and be open to learning. You'll do great!
Also even if things are going well, know that you might still feel nervous the first few weeks and maybe unsure of how you're doing. Just power through. You'll get settled in no time!
Good luck!!! Hope it works out great!

Take your time, find people you can ask silly questions without using up partner goodwill, embrace the new opportunity and make yourself an asset to the people you work with!

Also SET BOUNDARIES EARLY IF POSSIBLE!!!!
Why do it again? Seems like not a great decision for you.
