Deloitte USI I am currently in bench, looking for good development projects in java Springboot . I got a call from a project which has been running since 11 years, i asked they said it will be development role for me, but i dont understand how a development project could run for 11 years i think some support work might also be involved in that . Not to mention the project is big. Can anyone tell how to know if the project is good or not? Deloitte USI Deloitte

McK Solutions - analyst level in Energy space
LEK - associate level
My goals are to work for 2ish years in either role and ideally exit to an internal strategy function in Tech. What would be better?
McK brand speaks for itself, but I would not be the “traditional” consultant at McK. LEK offers the type of role but is it worth the difference in Brand?

Need advice interviewing for an enterprise role. I have an interview with an awesome startup for an enterprise AE role.only have a handful of years closing and never sold enterprise.I had an AE role where I worked w/ large companies and then went on to sell into growth which is small.I have literally 1 month of mid market experience. How do I make sure I can finesse this?! Don't worry, I'm not stupid. I'm always massively ahead of my peers when it comes to business/sales acumen...

The 1st firm will not like it but you gotta do what’s best for you. I wouldn’t go into explaining your reasons. Just say that your situation has changed and make it sound like you are sorry for the change of decision and timing.
Either way. Do not withdraw your acceptance until you have a signed offer from the 2nd firm. If the recruiting process takes too long, do let the 2nd firm know to speed up.
I have done this! Turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. I did 5 weeks at the firm and then left for a firm with much better prestige. Now, I like the work I do and managed to get a sign on bonus from both
Honestly I don’t know - they never asked for it back and I didn’t see anything in the contract re: minimum tenure
Wait till you get the second offer in hand before saying anything
Yeah absolutely will do - just trying to have game plan sorted as won’t have much time after knowing if I’ll have an offer extended
Just tell them you changed your mind/current employer gave a counter offer and you decided to remain with your current employer. Don’t update your LinkedIn immediately after you start at the more prestigious firm (if you get an offer from them). In a few months everyone will forget about this and that’s when you can updated LinkedIn.
I have been on the other side of this. It happens. Look out for #1.
Agree with general advice in this thread, but remember that prestige <> Quality.
If you are not completely sold on firm 1, nothing bad in interviewing with firm 2 and potentially getting an offer, but I am happy that I valued work environment, cultural fit, growth opportunities and existing relations over prestige when I started my career.
Thanks all for your input - much appreciated and helpful!
From a legal perspective if the firm where I have an offer is being difficult I guess I could start the new gig and hand in my 30 day notice immediately, but surely practically the team would rather not go through the hassle of setting me up if I have told them I have another offer which I plan to accept
Which firms?
Rather not say as may make it possible to identify me - does it matter?
Not sure what country you are in - but if US then you should be fine. People accept offers all the time then end up staying with their current company because they make a counter offer. That’s not much different then your situation.
