Starting a new job and figuring out WFH desk set up. They gave me a laptop and $500 stipend for office furniture. I have a desk, chair, and iMac for myself. Trying to decide if I should get a second monitor on an arm for work, or if I should buy a new laptop for myself and a monitor I can plug each computer into at the start/end of work. I def want a big screen for personal use but it's tough to fit it all on one desk. What did you all do?

Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)
