My post-MBA consulting wardrobe: Shirts: 3 white + 3 blue dress shirts from Mizzen & Main / State & Liberty. These are moisture wicking, athletic fit, and wrinkle-free shirts that feel amazing. Pants: 2 blue and 2 gray lululemon ABC pants. These are professional looking and are comfortable. If you have really big quads, avoid the slim fit. You can also check out the commission pant from Lululemon if that’s more your style I literally rotated white shirt/blue pant and blue shirt/gray pant every day, and then machine wash + hang dry on weekends. Can wear outside of work too
+1 for Lululemon pants. I refuse to wear anything else, Lulu or nothing
Go to suit supply and get measured
Naïve question since I haven't been there before but if I just go in there and tell them "hey I need like 4x pants, 10x shirts and a charcoal suit" are they going to be selling me their most expensive things possible and saying it's the only way, or would they point me to off the rack stuff that they think would be able to be tailored right if that's similar to their MTM? I have vague memories of getting fleeced at a Men's Warehouse for a suit ages ago. Appreciate the suggestion

Being someone that is also wide af from working out, I’ve found that buying dress shirts a size larger than me and then going to my tailor to get it taken in works really well for me. I find decently priced shirts then spend about $40 in tailoring per shirt. Only way I’ll wear dress shirts now. I have enough room and movement in my shoulders and arms but the waist is slim and taken in.

Might as well get the matching belt from Allen Edmonds, too. This will complete your whole look without breaking the bank too much. You can almost always find deals on those brands that I’ve mentioned above. Suits usually range from $400-$800 a piece, dress shirts from $70+ (note that Ledbury has some good multi buy promotions from time to time).
That’s not wide that’s obese
BMI is great for populations in aggregate but fails in individuals in fringe scenarios like athletes. I'm 20% body fat by dexa and have perfect blood lipids so I'm not concerned. Edit: should note, FFMI and FMI are more useful than BMI, there are some good recent reviews on life expectancy broken into those two instead of just BMI
What’s your waist size, OP?
I honestly don't know at this point and suck at using a tape measure, going to go to a tailor or suit supply like someone said to get all the measurements done. I wear a 34 in old navy athletic fit chinos but that's vanity sizing
