For those who go on dates at the client site, do you expense your half of the meal or do you just pay everything out of pocket?

I have the option of staying on a tech project that I don't like for 4 months, or roll off early and try to get on an interesting strategy project that starts in a month. Should I take the risk?
Got up at 3 am central, flew to the west coast, its 8.30 pm central and I still have a couple hours to go at the client. Happy Monday fish fam.
Used corporate code for personal hotel stay and they asked me for ID...I showed my badge but they seemed unsatisfied, what else would I show them to prove I work at the company?
Not many more disappointing moments on travel day than being 1/49 on the FC upgrade list, only for the three seats available yesterday to disappear from availability.
I work in a 7-attorney firm with a national presence. Partly because I’m only a few months in, I work a roughly 8-6 day. I’m also new to billing and often find myself working all day and billing just 4 hours. Whenever I bring this up to the partner, he says it’s good we’re not over billing our client. We don’t have minimum billable hours so it doesn’t matter much for the firm’s sake but I think I’m missing out on learning the important skill of billing my time. Has anyone ever experienced this?

What’s the worst reaction you have seen a client have to typos or syntactical errors in work product? Everyone loves to say “typos are all clients see”, “perfection is part of the job” etc. But have you actually experienced really negative client reactions based on typos? Honestly asking. I’m a 5th year and while I’ve definitely seen clients notice typos, the only time I ever saw one mad about it involved a startup founder who was predisposed to complain about everything for discounts
Upgrade question. Just had dinner with a colleague and returned to the same hotel - a Ritz Carlton. He mentioned that his room was amazing, a suite with a bath and a half.
Hi everyone! I am relatively new to consulting space. I worked with Deloitte in a research role, but have joined an MBB firm at a more front end role. I have a slightly unconventional question to ask (might be political too), but since this is an anon platform, I hope to get honest answers. I wish to know does people care about your looks in consulting (specially when you are on a client facing role?) I am an Indian male, and I have acne (not a lot, but considerable). Cont. in comments
Shall I pick up SPG or Marriott now? Both are same now? Had SPG platinum years ago but haven't travel for a while. Now stuffed on a travel project again.
Starting a new project and I want to give SPG a shot.. Should I go with automatic SPG gold or do a challenge for Platinum. My project is only 5 weeks so not certain if I can do spg later

Hi everyone!!! I am new here! I have gained 45+ pounds in the last two years and want to get healthy! Female, 33, pretty sedentary since CoVID. Any suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated!!
My husband was laid off today. We have a new baby & new house so it’s a bad day. He’s in the financial services industry so I’m reaching out to see if anyone knows of any FS consulting roles open?
Had no problem speaking in meetings in person. Can’t seem to get a word in edgewise on Zoom. Any advice?
Why do we complain sooooo much. Is that a generation thing (ie our generation complains more?) Did our parents raise us weird? How can we change this mindset because it’s really been weighing on me every where every ones always complaining: friends, coworkers, family, people on tv, Twitter, Fishbowl, tiktok
Getting to the 3rd round of interviews for PM positions at tech firms, just having trouble finally converting. Anyone able to help/refer? It is quite frustrating as I've been trying for most of this year, I even applied to a bunch of T15/M7 MBA programs to break into PM work and am considering going. Bs/Ms engineering, T10 engineering school in electrical engineering. Worked in R&D engineering and tech sales 4 YOE
If you receive a round 1 offer then quit hour job in Jan/Feb of the following year - is this a bad look for post MBA employers?
Anyone else staying at their job because they feel like they have an opportunity for a promotion in the near future? I’ve had interviews with other companies looking to hire me at a higher salary, but been putting it off. I don’t want to throw it all away
Does Fidelity have Zelle? I transferred my assets to Chase to avoid long transfer times as they use to be in Schwab, but I see Schwab has Zelle now. Does Fidelity?
Starting a new job on January 3. Want to leave on good terms in case I want to boomerang down the road. Is it a bad move to put in my 2 weeks on December 17, right before my whole project team disconnects? Or should I at least give them a heads up before I put in 2 weeks? Do I need to tell my practice leaders/PPMDs in advance? I’m a SC fyi. Thanks fam! First time doing this.
Here is a question that I’ve never seen here: what is everyone’s realistic preference in hotels for work travel. I switched to Hyatt after the SPG/Mar merger and have grown to love Hyatt Regencies.
Anyone got placed in FS/FSO even though you asked not to and really hate it? I really don’t like my client and it makes the work 5x not as fun when youre not interested in the client business.
