Does anyone know how PTO works if you start midway through the year? I assume you get a pro-rated number of days, but do you have those days immediately or do you have to accrue them? Trying to plan for wedding travel in November/December

Any United health group remote employees here? I recently accepted an accounting job and some of the onboard makes it seem like I’m only allowed to work from my home office. Scenario: baby coming in January and have an offer to lateral. Current firm gives 12 weeks of parental leave. New firm wants decision by next week. Would like to give a few weeks notice to current firm about leaving but need the entire parental leave. I think I am a pretty good programmer. I can do clean coding and make complex systems that are easily maintainable and understandable for my colleague's at a good pace. However, my personality afk is completely the opposite, I'm messy, incoherent in speech, easily confused and distracted and perceived as ditzy. I've been accused of being dumb sheep. 2Y MBA here will be joining McKinsey next year after graduation. I just got an email from McKinsey HR saying my background and social media checks are cleared. However, it is also mentioned in the email that aside from the MBA degree verification after my graduation, “a reinvestigation may also be required If your initial background screening has cleared more than 60 days prior to your start date.” Do they really do background checks again? It takes a long time lol.

Applied for associate position at McKinsey but didn’t get past phone screen. It was clear I should have applied for a BA role. Wondering if I should expect anything by applying to BA or if I’m no longer being considered?

I have 1 YOE in strategy consulting at a Big 4, planning to apply for BA/AC roles at MBB. I’ve read they prefer you to list test scores on the application. I’ve never taken the GMAT, so is my ACT still ok to include even though it’s nearly a decade old? 99th percentile fwiw
