I’m going to quit in 2022. Posting here to hold myself to it. I was asked to work on a discrete project that shouldn’t take more than 4-5 hours which has now turned into me having to join a call with the client at 9 am the morning after thanksgiving.

I constantly see posts on people coming to the US, but any upcoming jobs (that are work permit friendly) in the opposite direction? My company doesn't have global positions, and I am ready to move abroad.

Hey fishes. Just got a mail from Deloitte that the lease for my Laptop has expired and I have to visit the nearest Deloitte office to replace it. My base location is in Gurgaon but my nearest office is in Kolkata and currently I am at my home. Can I get it replaced from Kolkata office? And what is the general time frame for replacement. How long does it take to get used to the pace and expectations of MBB? Just started my first project this week and felt like I got my rear kicked.

I am a Chartered accountant and truth be told given the current times CA is a really low incentive education any potent person can get. Today I see engineers barely with a few years of experience earning lakhs per month. Whereas me despite being in the right place at the right time is working hard 10-11 hours each day even today. We as a forebearers of this profession must really rise together

EY and PWC under scanner in UK yet again for auditing issues. Pressure on them to break up. Audit cannot go hand in hand with consulting. Tough times ahead for Big 4. They had too much rope which is now getting cut

We are still waiting for our refund for 1040 efiled in March (still pending per where's my refund) but now realized we're not going to get the monthly child tax credit payments because "Your eligibility is pending." We qualify using 2019 or 2020 amounts (stay at home spouse).

We don't need it early, but have to imagine that countless others are in our situation but don't have the luxury of waiting. I've called IRS at least a dozen times since but never get through to an actual person.
