Why there is so many salary difference between each sector?
In mechanical Engineering field 10 years of experience professional paid 1.2 to 1.5 times but in software field the experienced person paid 3x times.

Eventhough both companies YOY profit are in same level.

What are promotional raises looking like for your firm from associate to senior associate? Apparently GT is only doing a 7% raise (per multiple folks in the GT bowl). In the past, most folks have received at least 15% up to 25% if you exceeded expectations, from what I’ve seen. If other firms are higher, I might consider jumping boats because 7%, even mid pandemic is a slap in the face. Especially for someone who exceeded expectations.

Is it ok to resign in the middle of busy season? I switched to BDO as a senior in summer of 2021 and this is going to be my 1st busy season with them (3rd in total) but I'm dreading it.
