Starting my mba in August. Thoughts on pre-mba internship at a startup or in Vc versus staying at the firm until school starts?

My uncle, and aunt, had about $750k in investments scattered across 14 different retirement accounts, brokerage accounts, annuities, on different platforms. They are 65. Three months ago they asked me if I could help them consolidate everything. I agreed. We started the process and this week the last of the funds came into their new Vanguard accounts!

Question: how do I scale this work organically, as a side hustle? I have an MBA in finance, but no CFP or other financial planning designation.

I feel it’s increasingly hard to get your foot in the door for internship interviews. Referrals are hard to get unless you have a network in place already. Any idea how to not lose motivation during the internship hunt?

Do consulting firms with MBA sponsorship tax you on the tuition/housing covered? If so, doesn’t that make sponsorship drastically less valuable?
