Do not, I repeat, DO NOT relocate to Atlanta. Dallas is much nicer and has better traffic. I'm currently in Atlanta and I can't leave fast enough.
Seems like it was a new job offer and op agreed to move to Atlanta as part of the deal. But given it's a traveling job thought he could get away w pretending he's Atlanta and staying in Dallas given he thinks he's gonna travel all the time. So basically I think you can do what you said and be in Atlanta when you need to be. You can just rent a really cheap room in Atlanta and stay there when needed...
What sort of travel position requires you to be based somewhere?
That's what I'm talking about
Lol
Position requires atlanta base. Can I just cover my own exp when I'm required to be in ATL for training or meetings?
Umm just ask for a 6month "relocation" plan. Talk about lease, family etc etc. They may be able to work with you, if you're worth it to them, and won't have to pay anything.
I don't understand. Someone staffed you but doesn't realize where you're based???
A new position as in a new project or new job? Seems odd this wasn't raised earlier in the process.
New job.
I'm currently traveling to ATL from DC on a weekly basis. It's fun to visit, but I wouldn't live here. Buckhead & Midtown are the spots.
