I have 4.5 years or experience and got an offer from Infor for 12.2 Lpa with 11.5 fixed as "Business Analyst" . Not sure if it's good or below par salary. Any suggestions would be helpful :)
Over the last three years my mfg company has had a lot of people leave and each time I take on the extra responsibility - from admin, payroll, benefits, compliance, safety, inventory and shipping. I literally do it all. And not only that, but I’ve eliminated and optimized a lot of wasteful processes in order to get it all done. I thought that it would all come with eventual pay increases since it saves the company over 300k in overhead. This whole time I should have been OE. I feel like a fool.
I have 3 years of experience and wanted to know how is Mercer? Is it a good company? since its a product baseI I'm planning to accept its offer as DBA but need suggestions on its goodwill and environment.
Hi guys, I am currently working in TCS but in vendor payroll with 4.5 LPA, they are doing a conversion to TCS payroll after working for a year. How much should I expect? They are offering only 15% hike. Also any idea if I resign now, can I join back to TCS again? Because technically I'm not in TCS payroll right now.
Anyone who left PwC AC Bangalore after july this year, have you received your Form 16 for this year? Thanks in advance!
I am planning to move to Bangalore in mid of July near Hobli, Kadubeesanahalli, Varthur. If anybody is interested in sharing a flat or if anyone can help me get some other references, please let me know.
I over contributed to 401k so what is better for the 401k Over contributions taken from Roth or Pretax amount?
Curious: for those evaluated or incentivized on utilization and hours, how does that affect your work planning and productivity? Any negative impact? Not knocking anyone's system, just wondering.
Got an offer from HTC Global Services for L2 Engineer Data Analyst Role.....can anybody help me with Job Security and organization culture?

I want to get out of ID so badly. I don’t mind the work but the hours are just killing me. I just started at a new firm less than 6 months ago and I am already desperate to get out. It is not the firm or the people. I just hate the high billables. I have been applying to other jobs but I think I may need a recruiter for help. Any recommendation for a great recruiter in NYC?
How long can you coast on not meeting your annual billables before being let go? Any stories? Context: Midlevel, corporate, billed 1600hrs this year, took a total of two months of firm authorized PTO and definitely would have made my hours otherwise.
ID Associates…how the hell do you reach your billable requirements? Just started at an ID firm and am lost as to how it’s possible when there is so much daily grind type work that you cannot bill for. Someone enlighten me.
Anyone else take the bar exam after practicing for a while? I took another state bar this past July and just remembered that I get my results tomorrow. Now I’m all distracted and worried I failed. Sometimes I really hate our profession 🙄
Could anyone shed some light on the working environment at Arnold & Porter? I've been offered a role as a trainee lawyer but wanted to know if its a safe environment in the sense that I could ask for support if I ever needed it.
Many thanks in advance!
That moment when your "smart" plan to boost your hours this month by working the Labor Day weekend (thus turning down all the fun plans your friends made) becomes sitting on your hands & feeling dumb because all the partners are too busy to delegate anything. The worst kind of "off" day is one you planned to /wanted to work, but there's no billable work...
Biglaw transactional associate - only at 81% utilization on the year. Feeling like a failure. Just need some extra motivation.
To experienced attorneys at large employers, has anyone tried starting a small side practice in a different area of law (wills & trusts, for example) and succeeded in building it out over time? Notwithstanding my present employer being happy/okay with this, curious as to the feasibility when I have no real experience in the practice area.
Would like a separate law-related side hustle to potentially build into my full time work down the road. Thanks.
I am a post bar graduate and currently seeking employment. I did not graduate from a top tier school, but I did graduate in the top third of my class as a dual-degree graduate. About a week ago, a partner at a big law firm connected with me on LinkedIn. He asked if I had a job lined up. I told him no and he responded that I should let him know if there is anything his firm or he can do to help me. We have a meeting with each other in two weeks. Is this a big law opportunity?
My laptop died. IT needs to check it physically. I’m 300 miles away from the nearest office and 1000 miles away from my office. I’ll be driving there first thing tomorrow - if you were a partner, would you be pissed that I’ll probably have to take a day off even if I’m at an office? Is it my fault that I’m out of town?
Classpass: worth it?
How do you track your time spent reading and responding to emails? I don’t want to run a timer each time I open outlook, but I feel like I’m losing hours of billable time every day to one-off emails that I would never individually bill for.
Can someone who switched from IP lit to tech transactions or some similar corporate position tell me how it’s going?
If you come across a document that is privileged and inadvertently produced by OC do you read it or immediately stop when you realize it’s privileged?
Born poor, made partner at 35, bought parents a home. Idk if this is success but I feel really good
Apps for keeping track of billable hours?
Do you all bill for inter office emails to partners and paralegals? Partners do you bill these email communications to the client (I know it may depend on the client). I am so bad at capturing time and feel like I need to be better at doing this.
Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP Anybody else upset over the differing policies at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP regarding WFH (attorneys required to be in office 3x/week while others required 4x/week)? Appreciate the flexibility but doesn’t seem right to have separate policies.
Is there an “unspoken rule” that if you apply to other firms and are rejected it hurts your chances if you reapply to them in the future? I’ve been at a firm for a few months but the environment is toxic and I’m looking at other options.

Simply remarkable how the mighty have fallen
Even that Cravath doesn’t pay above market bonuses to high billers, this is actually true period regardless if they match the base scale…
