In the same situation. I’m asking my parents to fly down from northern CA (we live in San Diego) just in case. Nervous that daycares will start closing but even if they don’t, it would be nice to have the help and option to take my son out of daycare...

like

Do it. We all have a responsibility to flatten the curve!

Update: daycare closed. So question resolved.

like

Same here. Closed for the next 2 weeks. Future tbd.

And ask family to watch him before he’s exposed and is a risk to my parents and me. Anyone thinking along these lines? I have to keep working...

Do it.

If nothing happens, you’ll feel like your precautions worked. If you don’t and someone gets sick, you’ll feel like you should have pulled them out. Kids are carriers but don’t seem to get sick themselves.

Where do you live? I personally have started thinking the same thing... I live in TX, we’re starting to have cases pop up, but nothing like Seattle/NYC/CA.... if you’re there, I’d seriously consider it if you can swing it.

I live in GA...and same. Wondering if it’s time to act before it’s too widespread here.

like

I‘m in Switzerland, exactly same situation. I pulled her out end of last week

Wishing you all the best.

Do the grandparents live with you? If not, safest thing to do is have your children stay away from the grandparents for the time being.

Agree, but I have no alternatives for childcare other than grandparents right now, and have to continue working for another few weeks at least. Hoping that by pulling him out sooner before the virus is too widespread, he won’t catch it and won’t be a risk to any of us.

My wife was able to get pregnant off oral fertility ....she has PCOS... she took progesterone and letrozole.

Its been 5 months since the baby was born and her period has not gone back to regular cycles - we hoped that the fertility and pregnancy would regulate her menstrual cycle.

Can we artificially create that cycle using progesterone so that she can have a period every month? I wonder if she would ovulate on progesterone alone too in this circumstance. Is anyone regulating on progesterone?

Should I call CPS? Student A just grabbed student B’s hand and quickly placed it over student A’s private. Student A said no one had ever done it to him or him to others but later on said his little sister grabs his hand and does the same to him and someone does it to sister but didn’t want to tell me who. Should I call CPS? What do I tell my principal? When principal spoke to him, he denied anyone doing this to him but he told me his little sister does this to him.

My partner is always busy doing something with his kids or wife, I end up doing everything in the ‘selling phase’ because multiple times a week there’s a dentist appointment or school thing that he’s at for half the day, then he’s unavailable after 5:00 every day. He doesn’t really do anything until an idea is sold and he has to comp. This has been going on since we were paired up. What’s a nice way to say ‘your family isn’t an excuse to pin all this work on me’?

I’m having guilt about leaving my current firm and need some reassurance. I have been practicing for 8 years at the same firm. Like many mid-size firms we have lost several key attorneys since 2020. They have either left and joined other firms or hung out their own shingle. The problem is that their departure has left the rest of us with an onslaught of work. I am on track for 2200 this year. I billed about 1700 in 2021 despite having taken 12 weeks of maternity leave. It’s brutal. When I have

Would like your advice on where we should live! Currently in CA and expecting our first baby - loving the diversity (as a minority who grew up in a non diverse area) but hating housing prices and we have no family out here. My partner and I are considering moving back to the east coast with better schools, cheaper houses, and help from my parents with childcare. But I'm scared of moving to a red state and of potential racism. What would you do?

My contract was slated to end & manager cited “feedback” issues, but managers boss asked to connect with me & mentioned product merger resulted in a surplus of headcount & asked me to keep in touch and offered to be helpful and a resource after I leave the company.
