I’m a first year associate. I am hopefully getting sworn in within 2 weeks. Is it too soon to engage with recruiters and start looking for a new role?

I requested a salary adjustment based on my responsibilities as a UXR. I’ve been in the role for nearly 2y and finally heard back about my salary adjustment.

I was expecting a 24% increase as I was severely underpaid but received an 18% increase. I realize this is still a great bump and I’m grateful for it but I also want to be paid fairly.

Is it worth trying to secure the difference? I’m also actively interviewing and applying at other companies.

Looking forward in my career, one avenue I see is making a switch from manager to strategic leader. I am looking at courses or certifications in strategic leadership. What advice might you have in making this transition and are there any courses, certifications, or books that you might recommend.

BCG is working to establish their presence in Canada but their team is focused on establishing top down. Bain doesn’t have digital focus. Can anyone shed some light on other T2 firms?

Am I “in” advertising or is an ad agency just the place where I work? My last several jobs, including my current one, have been at ad agencies but I don’t create ads. I design brand identities, design systems, style guides, digital campaigns, and digital products (UX/UI).

I was interviewed for SAP PP role in TCS and cleared all rounds last month on 24th August. Last week (9 sept) there was Salary negotiation and it was also done... Still didn't get any offer break up from TCS as per discussion till now. What to expect and what is next process now... Can someone help?

Do you consider PTO and 401k match as TC? Company A offers me 170k with 15 days of PTO and 50% 401k match till 6%; Company B offers me 25 days of PTO and 100% 401k match till 6%. Which has higher TC?

Any tips on how to negotiate salary?

I stated my desired income on the very first call and this response was "keep in mind the sign on bonus".
To me that meant the will not meet my requirement.
I did get a job offer from them.... 8K less than what I asked for.
