10% sucks, try to negotiate 15-20 then move and never look back
Move.
Move that behind
I don't think I would go as an M to industry. To many low levels and caliber of talent isn't as good to manage. I'd wait for D personally.
And at senior level aren't you getting close to 10% raises year over year? Even with a 3 it should be on that neighborhood.
My concern is I won't be able to work on latest technologies. What if it's a jump to 25%?
Industry sucks until you're really ready for the change... will slow your trajectory considerably. You're raises in professional services will pass your initial bump in 2-3 years
^ thanks but honestly post this years bonus etc I'd still be at 120 but this is a really good company where I would be called 'manager' and for 140
Go be a "manager" at a grocery store if you want the title. 140 is good no doubt. But you're stuck there until promo so make sure you're happy with it.
^P2 great point there. But it does allow me to start performing at M level than wait a whole year to get promoted in consulting. I can be back after couple years experience at M3 or something instead of wasting a whole year at S level
