Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

If you're an underpaid senior, you'll likely be an underpaid ACD.

Never leave for a job unless you know you can make good work there. Leaving for money can wind up being a dead end, and cost you money in the long run
Right, but my reply was to yours that stated “never” do it. If you’ve got guts, why not?
Get the promo, then get the money somewhere else.

Depends on what your short and long term goals are. A lot of people are faced with these types of decisions throughout their career and it all depends on what you think moves you closer to your personal destination. If you feel like you need more mentorship at this stage in your career and you really think staying can benefit you more, then stay. If more money in the immediate future is more important to you, then go. This is really only something you can decide.

I know money is important, but do you like the current work you’re doing? Ask for a career map so you have an idea of their growth plan for you.
I don’t know how well ACD will translate if your agency is known for giving people inflated titles or if you role doesn’t align with a future ACD role you may want to apply for.
THIS!! I have a sr. CW friend who’s about to get promoted to ACD simply bc of promotion cycles. She unofficially manages a team but has effectively no other experience that would qualify her for the role. Then doesn’t get why she’s not getting far in interviews for ACD positions elsewhere.
Ask them to put a clock on it. If the can't commit you they're just gassing you.
