Thinking about moving from transactional (this work is ungodly boring) to litigation after 1.5 years. The writing samples I have most relevant to litigation is an opinion from a state appellate court my 1L summer and an MSJ I did well on from a 3L legal writing course. Is there a preference for litigation roles?

I hate having to ask this question but I know a stigma exists around it: is it okay to look for/start a new job while trying to plan for a new child?
