You should, but hard to know where they will gather the info from. Maybe they will have a website to sign up for it...

Total speculation on my part but the stimulus is probably based on the 2018 tax filing. Not sure what avenues if any they would have to make an adjustment

Same here. Congrats on a good 2019.

Do kids get money irrespective of parents income? Also is it taxed?

Based on 2018 filings unless you already filled 2019. I can’t imagine how they’d easy get data on babies born in 2020. Probably out of luck

I’m pretty sure a baby is a child

They’re gathering the data based on your 2018 tax filings. No baby on your taxes in 2018, so no funds for that baby. Sorry, OP.

Expecting our first in about 6-8 weeks. Both my wife and I work at places with strong parental leave policies. We are considering staggering our leaves (I’d take a couple weeks right when the baby is born, then go back to work until her leave runs out, then go out) to save $$ on child care. Would also have a bit of family help during the first 4-6 weeks as well. Any experienced dads think this is a bad idea?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and have been looking for work for the past month and half after getting laid off. I've had several interviews, but so far nothing has panned out. Baby is due mid-September. Is it too late at this point? Should I just stop looking and wait until after the baby is born? This has been such a stressful time.

As soon as my husband and I got engaged my mother in law flipped a switch. She went from being nice and sweet to bitchy and passive aggressive. It’s so awful dealing with her that I have to drink when I’m around her to deal. Anyone had a similar experience? She completely tainted my entire wedding with her behavior. It’s a losing battle to talk to my husband about it because he can’t help but decent her.

Expecting my first child in a couple months. Parents in India have been dying to come to the US but unable to due to the visa restrictions. Anyone know of any exceptions to the visa restrictions that may apply or any other workaround? (Besides staying in 3rd country for 14days) I am above 21, married, US citizen. Parents gave up their green cards and are on tourist visa 😔

What age were you when you had each kid? I'm 32 and we are trying for our first. SO is 36. But the endless relentless lectures from the women of my family about why "it's so late! Hurry! It's going to be impossible soon!!" is driving me insane. Ideally I would want it to be planned and natural, not IVF or anything, but you never know.

I’m in my 11th year at a boutique plaintiff’s firm. The name partner I work under is great in a lot of ways. I ln general it could be worse. But the guy is a baby. I’m certainly no slacker. In fact I’m excellent at my job. But the guy is obsessed with people being in the office before 9am. No matter what’s on/not on the calendar or what I’m doing personally. Today I got in at 9:12am and apparently he’d been ranting and raving over my whereabouts. When is it time to not answer to this crap?
