STM due in mid-January & going to start on my leave form to submit to Leadership. With my first, I was planning to go on leave at 39 weeks but she came at 38+2.
Anyone else have deals closing 12/24? Normally would roll my eyes but with the holiday falling on Saturday and Friday being a true day off I’m seriously fuming.
My partner threatened to leave me if I don't stop working because I'm completely overtaxed and have become a nightmare to be around, and we don't need the money. This is obvious a terrible thing for them to say, but it was in the moment and they expressed they didn't mean it as a real threat afterwards. Other than telling me they should go to therapy, should I be considering taking time off? I love my job and sometimes I think it's actually the only thing that's providing a modicum of sanity.
Monday and not even noon and I am so exhausted I just want to lie down. Toddler woke me up at two am and I basically couldn’t fall back asleep after that because I was so stressed about the week. MDP came back from a week of vacation and had a bunch of things he didn’t like and chewed me out about this morning. I just feel super over it all. Hard to imagine continuing in this business. Those who have left for corporate work do you find it less stressful, more sustainable?
Unlimited PTO is not working for me.
Flexibility is great but I need a max limit of days to make sure I’m safe. Anyone having the same issues?
How long is too long?
I’m at the end of a recruiting process that includes 5 interviews and a take-home assessment, all of which went well. That was 18 days ago. The HR rep was on vacation and came back 6 days ago. She told me she was going to meet with the CD to regroup 5 days ago. I still haven’t heard anything. Is this normal?
I have been working in SEA region last 4 years. I feel burned out. I have 10yoe, I have try to move to other country but I pretty much suck in LeetCode. I want to take some time off to unwind, finish some personal business, and really prepare for interviews. I would like to hear from you. Should I quit to my current manager(5th so far) or wait after mid year performance review, when a new boss will take over my team? I'm thinking on giving them 2 months notice period. By contract is 1.
How many vacation days have you been able to negotiate?
Are you in a market that pays you for unused days?
Do your days roll over to next year?
If unlimited, how many do you actually take?
How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.
Have any of the consulting firms improved their time off recently?
I want to move from EY but want to make sure I can keep the number of days off.
25 PTO + 10 sick days = 7 weeks right now as Senior at EY
Been in US for the last 7 years. Currently in two minds on whether to stay here or move back to India. Every time I go back home for a vacation, it’s getting harder to come back to US (1/2)
Any ideas for a low budget holiday with my gf for approx. 7-10 days? Departure would be in Germany and the travel should start in Jun/Jul/Aug. Somewhere warm, with only few tourists. (cont’d)
Looking to leave my current role, in industry (engineering/manufacturing) and to get back into big 4 (same firm as well), however I have a 3 month holiday planned from December next year.
Are big 4 pretty lenient on allowing holidays of that length? Especially for boomerangs? Or is it better to come back after the holiday and try then? Thinking that contracting temporarily might be the way to go in the interim.
Not sure if I’m undervalued at the moment. I’m an ESG associate with a graduate degree making 62k (only a few months of prior full time experience). My practice seems like it’s got great growth opportunities + fantastic wfh / flexible time off benefits, but I’m wondering if it’s worth exploring other avenues?
I got an offer from cognizant softvision for a senior .net role. What benefits does softvision provide? Bonus, 401k match, pto, sick days, espp? Thanks.
I work for a small (yet quickly scaling) tech startup that is fully remote regardless of Covid. Outside of healthcare and vacation, what benefits do others in similar companies have? Or even better, what do you expect? We are going to be hiring a lot of people while watching our dollars (limited investment dollars available) but need to make sure we are competitive. Do you have things like matching 401ks, office allowance, phone/internet stipend, etc.
Does your agency give a holiday bonus?
So my client hires a management specialist to prepare their stock option comp calc and FS disclosures. We do testing over new adds, tie out inputs to their Black Scholes for new grants and do a general completeness check on the comp calc, and have eval'd mgmt spec as competent. How much recalc should I do over the calc itself? Should we get an audit spec to opine on the mgmt spec's work, or is that overkill?
Hi! Question for CVS workers, I have seen that now the range for a sr analytics consultant is 130-167k but for a sr manager analytics is usually 130-157k , in the analytics spectrum is the sr consultant a higher level than the sr manager? Thanks CVS Health
A few questions on Genpact: How strong are their offerings and capabilities in advisory outside the BPO space? Where (which industries) do you run into them in digital transformation pitches as a competitor? With regard to their internal organization, how are the work culture and compensation for Partner / MD level hires? Thank you.
Would you rather spend a month between West Midtown and Atlantic Station or be on the beltline near Krog St NE?
Put my notice in and have July 3rd to 15th available before my start date the week after. REALLY want to go to Europe, looking at Greece as they have less restrictions…anyone else planning for July or been recently with any tips? Looking to mix beach days, some nightlife, but honestly just want to take in the culture, prop myself in a cafe with a book and an espresso.
How is being on the bench differ across firms? For us, it often is working similar to project hours (late night) on short fuse pitches
I resigned from wipro when I was in bench.. But still HR is asking me to serve notice period..
Any specific reason for this? Paying without work also lost for the company na..
Your views on this please...
Are you planning to see family this thanksgiving? Or playing it safe and distant? Want to see my parents but don’t want to put them at risk
I have an Ohio 4-9 math & science license but will move to Colorado. Does anyone have experience with Ohio to Colorado reciprocity? Do they accept OAE scores or will I have to take the tests again?
PwC referral please 😇
Looked at a Reno business license application today... best line ever... "interactive cabaret"
Hi all! If anyone needs HCM solutions for their business (ie payroll, 401k, worker’s compensation, or health and benefits) I would be happy to connect with you and help you get that in place!
Joined RSM late summer of 2021. Are we expecting any annual raises or bonuses? What is the typical percentage for each? RSM
Anyone have a “pre-seed worked for me” story? Month 7 of TTC, month 2 using pre-seed. Entering the 2ww now and feeling anxious.
How many of you who switched to PwC AC in last 1-1.5 year feel that you made a right decision?
How has been your experience so far? Are learning, work-life Balance and other things same as you expected ?
What’s second round at BCG like for experienced hire in the US? Is there a written test?
How long does PwC digital audit team take to get back to you after the final round partner interview?
Is anyone still working fully remotely? My company says it isn't possible to have us working from home and we're not as productive when we're not in the office. This seems like corporate speak for we just want to stand over your shoulder to ensure you're working non-stop

My lower belly is so bloated starting at around 12w, similar to the feeling of days before period. It’s not painful, but certainly uncomfortable. Anyone had similar experience? When does it go away? Thanks.
At what point should I take a pregnancy test? I am getting crazy anxiety to the point it is causing major distractions to my daily life and it’s frustrating as heck
For twin pregnancy when did you start showing?
Female here - Just found out we’re pregnant after TTC and having fertility support. What’s the first thing I need to buy to celebrate 🎉
For moms who have delivered before, I am terrified of the delivery. That day haunts me. I’m a first time pregnant mom, and my own mother lost her first child in child birth, so I’ve inherited a lot of trauma about child birth. How bad is it, really? How scary? Any words of encouragement and honestly telling me what to expect (don’t sugar coat) I would appreciate. I am so scared.
First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?
Is the spectra s1 as good as elvie/willow? Does just getting any one work? I ll have to go to work everyday probably from month 3
I'm 18+4 weeks pregnant. I'm worried about weight gain - specifically too little weight. Only gained about 5 lbs in total, and for the last 2 weeks nothing at all.
Any words of advice or encouragement? Worried about baby as I hear not gaining enough weight is way way worse than gaining too much. Or am I making a big deal out of nothing?
Are women here having issues finding appointments for initial prenatal visit? The first appointment I got will be at 11 weeks that too I was lucky because I had already scheduled with the doc for some other Obgyn issue back in July and they converted it to a prenatal appt. If I did not have that, I would have not got anything for the first trim. The other docs in the clinic also did not have appts. This sounds very risky. Heard from someone in Texas she did not get an appt until 16 weeks
I’m six weeks and have either a yeast infection or UTI (been awhile since I had either and symptoms since last night can go either way). Have an urgent care apt later today but worried about antibiotics or medications while it’s still so early and the risk of miscarriage or birth defects. Anyone been through this in first trimester?
Hitting 37 weeks tomorrow, nerves and anxiety kicking in. Any advice on how to shake it off?
I know everyone is different, how long did it take you to fall pregnant with your first? We have just started trying but I’m already stressed at the possibility of hiding a pregnancy at friends and family gatherings, taking an international trip in April, and the ‘perfect’ time to be pregnant/due (I know there’s no perfect time!). I feel like a crazy person!
What are your reasons for wanting a un-medicated birth? currently strongly leaning toward getting an epidural because there’s no reward for suffering. lol but I could be convinced…
Hi everyone, have a noob question here. When did you share the pregnancy news with your employer? Not sure when it’s optimal to do that. :)
