STM due in mid-January & going to start on my leave form to submit to Leadership. With my first, I was planning to go on leave at 39 weeks but she came at 38+2.
I was planning to work up until I give birth since I’ll be at home & will do most of my nesting during the holiday disconnect. Should I put the due date as my “estimated” leave date?

Anyone else have deals closing 12/24? Normally would roll my eyes but with the holiday falling on Saturday and Friday being a true day off I’m seriously fuming.

My partner threatened to leave me if I don't stop working because I'm completely overtaxed and have become a nightmare to be around, and we don't need the money. This is obvious a terrible thing for them to say, but it was in the moment and they expressed they didn't mean it as a real threat afterwards. Other than telling me they should go to therapy, should I be considering taking time off? I love my job and sometimes I think it's actually the only thing that's providing a modicum of sanity.

Monday and not even noon and I am so exhausted I just want to lie down. Toddler woke me up at two am and I basically couldn’t fall back asleep after that because I was so stressed about the week. MDP came back from a week of vacation and had a bunch of things he didn’t like and chewed me out about this morning. I just feel super over it all. Hard to imagine continuing in this business. Those who have left for corporate work do you find it less stressful, more sustainable?

How long is too long?
I’m at the end of a recruiting process that includes 5 interviews and a take-home assessment, all of which went well. That was 18 days ago. The HR rep was on vacation and came back 6 days ago. She told me she was going to meet with the CD to regroup 5 days ago. I still haven’t heard anything. Is this normal?

I have been working in SEA region last 4 years. I feel burned out. I have 10yoe, I have try to move to other country but I pretty much suck in LeetCode. How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

So my client hires a management specialist to prepare their stock option comp calc and FS disclosures. We do testing over new adds, tie out inputs to their Black Scholes for new grants and do a general completeness check on the comp calc, and have eval'd mgmt spec as competent. For moms who have delivered before, I am terrified of the delivery. That day haunts me. I’m a first time pregnant mom, and my own mother lost her first child in child birth, so I’ve inherited a lot of trauma about child birth. How bad is it, really? How scary? Any words of encouragement and honestly telling me what to expect (don’t sugar coat) I would appreciate. I am so scared.

First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

I'm 18+4 weeks pregnant. I'm worried about weight gain - specifically too little weight. Only gained about 5 lbs in total, and for the last 2 weeks nothing at all.

Any words of advice or encouragement? Worried about baby as I hear not gaining enough weight is way way worse than gaining too much. Or am I making a big deal out of nothing?

Are women here having issues finding appointments for initial prenatal visit? The first appointment I got will be at 11 weeks that too I was lucky because I had already scheduled with the doc for some other Obgyn issue back in July and they converted it to a prenatal appt. If I did not have that, I would have not got anything for the first trim. The other docs in the clinic also did not have appts. This sounds very risky. Heard from someone in Texas she did not get an appt until 16 weeks

I’m six weeks and have either a yeast infection or UTI (been awhile since I had either and symptoms since last night can go either way). Have an urgent care apt later today but worried about antibiotics or medications while it’s still so early and the risk of miscarriage or birth defects. Anyone been through this in first trimester?

I know everyone is different, how long did it take you to fall pregnant with your first?
