Strongly considering making a move from a comfortable career path in Big 4 accounting to starting my own firm. As a minority CPA, a driving force for me is a desire to start a black-owned accounting firm. Would be interested to hear some perspective on what led others on the journey of entrepreneurship and what drove them from corporate to ownership.

Is it worth to move to a Value Engineering and GTM role in a product based company from Deals Strategy and Value creation role in a Big 4? In the last one year, I only learnt Power Bi and Alteryx but no functional or domain knowledge. Offshore setup doesn't allow us to get full idea about what's happening in the front end. Hello all - I have been offered a role with a big 4 in Canada for the "Manager" level. Since, it is a new market, I am unaware of the salary benchmark and big4 pay range in Canada. I got an offer yesterday and thinking to put resignation but I have heard if you are serving notice period on March pay day then you will not be entitled for the annual bonus. 2. If suppose your 60 days of notice period is completing on Sunday then what will be the last working day. Will it be next working day I.e. Monday or last working day I.e. Friday?

I studied SCM in college but I’ve been working through tech implementations on the ptp side for about 4 years now - it’s been all indirect client work though and no supply chain. How tough is it to pivot to more process and supply chain based strategy projects - do I need to get my mba. At a smaller firm now and feel like I’d have to jump to an Accenture to actually have the ability to do that kind of work (logistics and trade optimization, planning, manufacturing)
