Are you depressed? I ask because I had this issue as well (getting out of bed) and most DR.’s thought I was depressed so they Had me try various SSRIs

Though they helped, honestly adhd medication helped more. Gave me just a strong enough push to get on with my day.

That does sound like depression, but it could also be a health issue. Schedule a physical with your doctor, tell them what you’ve been struggling with, and get some blood work.

And for reassurance, I’ve discovered a lot of people with adhd struggle with things like showering and grooming routines, because of a mixture of executive function issues and sensory sensitivity.

There are a few things that can help when struggling to get out of bed and maintain personal hygiene. First, try to set a routine for yourself and try to stick to it as much as possible. This can help your body get into a routine and make it easier to do the things you need to do everyday. Secondly, try to stay organized. This will help reduce stress and make it easier to find what you need when you need it. Lastly, make sure you are taking care of yourself mentally and emotionally. This includes taking time for yourself, relaxing, and doing things that make you happy.

Been dealing with this a ton lately in regards to getting out of bed...I've found that physically exhausting myself helps me stay asleep, so plenty of exercise and sunshine help me stay down at night. Try meditating or considering things your grateful for too, that always helps me.

Hi there! I just suggested the sunrise alarm/lamp to someone on this bowl earlier. Sunlight just has its way of waking up our mind and body. This helped me a lot.

Are you staying up too late? Do you exercise? I exercise in the morning. Every day. Only thing that gets me moving.

No not really I sleep at reasonable hours. Just can’t get up.

I think I’d also recommend getting your vitamin levels checked out. It can easily be a deficiency

Yup those two will definitely do that to you. Obviously check other avenues but that should be an easy fix

Shower every day bro

I’m trying to avoid meds c1. When do you decide that you finally need meds ?

Sleepytime tea helps me out a lot. Traditionally really relaxes my body. Sometimes I even have two cups, I don't even care if it's placebo. I hope this helps!

How is your diet? Getting a good balance of good protein, carbs, veggies, and fatty acids is crucial. It can definitely combat depression and help you sustain energy.

Are you on stimulants for adhd?

Medication can help you get your life in order

Consider investing in a sleep app that helps you wake up based on your sleep cycle. Often times our time blindness contributes because our "internal clocks" really are "off"

I'm working for a startup and 2 of the 3 founders just don't understand how things run, no active practising of any methodology, chopping and changing constantly. I like the work and I only work a 4 day week its a well paid role (£85k) and the freedom really does feel awesome. Recently they asked me to work a bank holiday, I really don't want to, but they are imposing a deadline which is hard to hit as they keep changing the work we need to do. Should I suggest an agile course? Or any ideas?

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?
