Where do you want to be long term? I don’t think it’s worth it to go to Deloitte if you only plan on staying a year

What’s JPM? IB, WM, CB?
IMO if you’re not trying to settle down I would go for Deloitte consulting. Best exit ops IMO since you can lateral to IB or MBB and possibly PE if you go through IB/MBB
I would consider looking at bigger established solar companies. often their inside sales proposal consultation specialists bring in 5 digit monthly commission checks. if your willing to hustle and generate your own leads via door to door or your own form of SEO and digital marketing you can realistically earn $600-900 per $Kilowatt you sell the system size for. Bigger power bills will require more panels to offset the cost of the the power they use. and the average Kilowatt system size is 7.5-10KwH equating to an average payout per self generated deal to $4500 - $9,000. to give you an idea of how many are possible to be closed in a month often the top five reps in the office install about 50KwH worth of solar spread over about 6 deals equaling $42,000 in commission. yes that is weekly. if your not sales inclined many companies will pay up to $3,000 just for setting the appointment for the specialist to present to the customer their customer generated solar report proposal. if they sign up the setter get payed $1500 and if they install they receive another $1500. all in all a single deal can pay up to $17000 to a single rep that knocks about 500 doors in a week and closes about 5 deals and about 2 of which install. my last manager personally has sold over $150,000 in personal net commission. my manager before that finished last year with 117 deals @7k average payout. netting just north of $800k for working the hours of 1pm to dark. the amount of agents that make 100k plus in the solar industry that i have worked with in other door to door industries is almost everyone. its the modern day gold rush. if you excel at recruiting you can expect to make a % of overall system cost of all the agents that you bring into the organization and train. you can earn up to $1000 per deal installed by one of your reps. Sign and oversee a team of 10 agents that close 10 deals per month. that's $1million in annual office override commission earned on top of that if you personally close 5 a week for the summer months. (90% of reps only work the long hours of the summer time and then either go to school full time or take the remaining 8 months off and travel) 5deals a week X $7,500commish per deal X 4 weeks =150,000 per month. X .70 because 30% of commission pay is automatically taxed. = 105K month or 1,260.000 a year after taxes. IF you took the more leisure route of simply taking in bound and making outbound calls to interested prospects you can expect to make between $500-700 per sale. again if you can close 5 a week or 20 a month that's $156000 per year for sitting in a comfy chair in a Air conditioned room talking to people over the phone. The craziest part of all this industry has to offer in amazing payouts but in almost every single proposal case that gets installed the customer saves 10s of thousands of dollars over the course of the solar payoff period. essentially their solar system loan payment will be lower than their avg monthly power bill
