Yes. My advice is that your personal life comes first. Fertility won't wait.

Spot on. I just found out I am pg and my due date is my likely promotion date. This was a total fluke after a mc in sept while we were priming for ivf #2. Life happens but I wouldn't change a thing. Just praying for a sticky healthy baby after all our losses :).
Yep my advice is keeping going on all fronts and don’t make any choices until you have to. It’s impossible to control the timelines for either TTC or starting a new job so don’t try to. I ended up starting an IVF cycle and a new job around the same time and while it was a little stressful for a couple weeks I had a support system to help me through it. Now I’m six months into the new job and nearing the end of my first trimester. Haven’t shared anything with my employer yet but will soon. So happy with both choices and no regrets.
Sounds rough. I’m also in similar situation after having miscarriage a few months back and now trying IVF and worried about infertility…trying to hold out since my current company’s mat benefits are good. Recently took LOA for 2 months to delay making decision as long as possible but I can’t even imagine going back. No solution to offer to you but just wanted to say you’re not alone and I really hope things get better for you soon.
Stress will affect the process. Can you find out about maternity benefits at new company? Some places have day 1 benefits. Maybe you can negotiate day 1 benefits if they don’t exist. I have PCOS and went through fertility treatments. Ended up being 7 weeks pregnant during final rounds with new company and 13 weeks when I started. It was stressful, but worth it to escape my T2 firm’s stress!
No I’m almost 31 and terrified that I’ll never have kids. I have to have colposcopy next week bc I had an abnormal pap. PCOS sounds rough. Fortunately I haven’t been told I have that
While it is not fun to have to get a colposcopy, I don’t think it affects fertility based on medical evidence I’ve seen online. Fwiw I’m 6 months pregnant and have had 2 previous colposcopies.
For whatever it is worth it you can try cobra and keep your old company’s benefits. It is expensive but might be cheaper than paying for ivf out of pocket/ new company insurance.
Cobra at my company is $888 a month. Can anyone help me find a new job? Working at BMS was horrible for me. I need a more flexible company. I have a sick parent that’s why the flexibility is important. I’m an only child so it’s a big burden on me
