About to ask for a raise on Friday for the first time in my life! 28 yrs old and worked in the industry for 4 yrs before joining advisory in Jan. Also have an MBA. I'm in the field of operation/supply chain. Already did my research and have a number in mind. Interested in getting your thoughts on this. What do you think it's a reasonable number to pay someone with my background?
I think my career has tanked!
I've been working in SAP Basis Module for the last two years and I hate my job to be honest. Most of my peers have crossed 5 LPA and got promoted while I didn't even come close to 4 LPA. My colleagues and peers are reticent and I feel I'm wasting my time. I tried to switch to another company, but I got rejected, despite being certified in SAP HANA. My company doesn't recognise my work and I work in night shifts which made me depressed. How do I rebound in my career?

Do it. It doesn’t look bad as long as you don’t make it a habit, and you’ve got to look out for yourself.
thanks everyone! thinking of trying for the interview and will see what happens next. Appreciate the advice and opinions!
I think if you want to leave then you should. As long as you give proper 2 weeks and make sure everything is transitioned and the team is set up for success once you depart then you are fine. I think 7 months is long enough to know it’s not gonna get better there. You can always speak to it personally if it ever comes up that you were only there for 7 months so it shouldn’t really be a problem.
Where will you do your best work and get your best opportunity to build a good book. Does this partnership make your work way better?
At this level you should be thinking in terms of your growth/work

Just give it a year. Your 7 month stint will live with you forever on linked in.
Agreed! I don’t think a one off stint looks bad on LinkedIn or resume
You have to look out for YOU. Seven months is more than enough time to know where things are headed. You aren't screwing over a team, they will figure it out. Capitalism functions in a way in which we are all replaceable.
