I havenāt started yet, but have had a couple of Accenture PMs reach out regarding open roles for upcoming projects. All meetings have gone fine and promising, only to lead up to a rejection that theyāre moving with another resource. Does Accenture move quickly in resourcing for projects?

Calling people subordinates š©š©š©
It sounds like youāre not contextualizing and giving enough support to this direct report. That being said, I get that negative mood and complaints can be annoying, and Iād mention this to them in a chat
Sounds like you are the one with control over giving them a reason to want to be at work. If they hate the environment, and you control the environment, sounds like you might need to look in the mirror to see what you can improve on.
I agree, š©š©š©š©

My point is: life is in the eyes of the beholder. If you take it personally and get offended by objective words, you will live your life in the Victim corner of the drama triangle. (Ask your therapist about this while you unpack your negative view of life.)
Alternatively if one can calmly negotiate life with a neutral mind and donāt take things personally, that person will be much happier and more pleasant to be around.
We are all āsubordinatesā to someone. Ie there are always people above us and below us with varying degrees of skills and experience. It happens in the animal world too. If you can somehow create a Revolution to flatten the hierarchy of the planet, go for it. Make change. But I would not recommend spending time getting offended at the natural order of life. But by all means, you do you.
Lead by example.
If you come off that you come off here at work that subordinate is gonna quit.
Yep I do need to learn about managing a team such as not calling people 'subordinates'. At the end of the day there's tremendous pressure from the client to excel and I have shielded them from that. But asking me to be a cheerleader and psychologist when I have tons of work myself is not something I want to do. I guess management 101 here.
Iām sorry to hear it. It sounds like the tough but best thing to do is just to sit down 1:1 and talk about the environment and her attitude. She might have suggestions for improvement too! Itās awkward but if the case is running for a while longer then I think itāll be worth it. Alternatively if the project ends soon then Iād just brunt through it
Many of you sympathize with my colleague and I get that. Obviously I'm seeking recourse or else I would not try to ask strangers for advice. Personal accountability is important to me, and if you guys aren't on board with that, then you should not be in this industry.

OP this is the best book Iāve read recently on leadership, this should help paint context. There is a lot of generational differences to be aware of
